I know one thing, I wont be going back there.
... and sadly, that's exactly what they want :(

Get yourself over to France mate. Plenty of great open roads, without traffic or cops. It's a breath of fresh air.

Lets face it, England sucks. Doesn't matter what road it is, it'll be too busy to have any real fun, Police will be camping there waiting for the cash to roll in and chances are the road conditions will be terrible. Our only enjoyment on the roads thesedays are 6am rides, even then we encounter a few cars!

A friend recently went to New Zealand for 4 weeks touring on bikes, they sometimes rode for an hour middle of the day without seeing a vehicle on the loveliest roads you've ever seen.

I save my enjoyment for the track these days.

Yep. Think you may be right mate. Seems this year they are having a huge clamp down on bikers nationwide. Even if you do find a piece of road in the uk that isn't swarming with police and cameras the roads are in such a poor state after the winter it's still not much fun.

Would love to ride through France. Just don't think my ankle could take that distance on my duke. Yours however would be a hoon. :)

You planning on stealing Spie's ankle? :p

Got this afternoons footage uploaded. Mini spycamera from eBay mounted on rear seat pod  :-

Cuts off early at the end, not sure why.

Could anyone point me in the direction of the best priced brake discs for my CBR?
I have looked on M&P and Busters and they seem the same, I am just wondering if anyone knows some other sites I should try before purchasing.

Thanks

Pick up my new 'Busa in just under 3 weeks. Got a full Akra system and Power Commander V ready to fit :D

I don't think you'll get any better value than EBC, just find best price on those...

Bike passed it's MOT today :) ... but with an advisory for slight juddering on the front brakes, hope the disc(s) aren't warped :( . Fit my new clutch slave cylinder tonight also, seems to be easier to pull the lever now but I didn't ride it to see properly yet.

Ahh, sucks being on camp in such nice weather, seeing the bike sitting there day after day, and not being able to go riding!

Going to try and get out tomorrow night and go to Poole harbour, see if the bike nights have started there yet. Want to start throwing the bike around the twisties on the way. now as I've had a new chain and sprocket put on, and I don't have the fear of it snapping in the back of my head all the time lol. Plus, the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's feel awesome, give me so much more confidence in the bike!

bit of a random question but Im not going to start my own thread, the zx7r is pretty heavy from what I understand, I'm going to look at one this weekend and Im just wondering if its going to be too large a bike for me to handle (I mean size/weight wise not power) I'm 5' 7" and about 10 stone

Was going to get a set of 2ct's in the summer but I think I'll try the new pilot pures. Supposed to be pretty good. Just not getting on with ones my bike came with.

What year?

My GSX-R 750 is a 2001, and is probably considered quite heavy compared to the newer bikes. I'm around 5' 8" and just 10 Stone, and I don't have any issues handling it. Not that I ride the bike to it's limits or anything, yet. Planning on taking some extra lessons this spring/summer though, improve my fast riding and handling.

Yeah, I was never a fan of the ones that came on my bike. I never got a chance to hammer them much mind you, and by the time this warm weather turned up, they were squared off after 1000's of motorway miles done over the winter.

Reason I went for the 2CTs over the Pures was simply because I liked the tread pattern :p. I wouldn't know the difference in performance of either tyre lol.

its a 2000 so W reg my last bike was a little nc30 viffer which was 182kilos wet weight and the zx7r is about 215kg so a fair difference the gsxr seems to be about 185 kilos wet
