You can still fit them just I think the beam isnt as sharp if that makes sense, but will still be a lot better than standard, stock bike lights are crap!
It's more about being seen really - can hardly see the beam on the ground as it is now so anything would be an improvement.
I notice a few of you chaps have had paint jobs.
How much is it roughly. just so i know what sort of figure to expect.
I want mines redone but same color.
I was quoted £400 for my bike at a local (well recommended) body shop - thats for a naked bike, so tank, side panels, mudguard and tail piece. I ended buying panels in the colour I wanted on ebay for £200 instead.
Cheers.
my panels are in great condition they just have some scuffs in them. willing to do as much as i can to save money but in the end i want a cracking finish.
Just scared i cant get the exact same decals as I have now.
Its 24 years old so would like to keep it original but just well looked after
Cheers.
In terms of decals its not applying them i worry about its getting the correct ones for that model and color . Yes it may sound sad but i want ti to look exact. after all it is 24 and pending i dont put it in a field or a wall should last a while longer. just want to freshen her up
My overriding impression having read that is that it is a slightly tatty bike at a perfect bike price. Here we go: Advert
I upgraded my bulb to a Nightbreaker and it was visibly better. Like you I couldn't see the old bulb beam on the road but I now can.On a separate subject, what lights do you guys use on your bikes? I don't have projectors, just standard reflector lights, the ones I have aren't particularly good.

I know the stripple is one of the bikes to have at the moment and although that is keeping the prices high I think that because of the issues yours has listed you need to drop the price.
If I was looking for a good clean example of a speed triple I'd probably pass yours over.
