Yeah I never activated it myself, seemed to take a lot to get it there but the instructors made an issue of showing it to us working.

Pretty easy to engage the ABS on the rear wheel, got to be doing something silly to get it to work on the front

Or panicking because some idiot has pulled out in front of you without looking. Which is worse if your bike has no ABS...

Not hard to lock the front if the road is slippery, e.g. farmer giles has thoughtfully covered it in slurry.

If I had not of known prior that was the corner he stuffed it on, I would have never ever ever ever guessed he would have managed that there! He had scrubbed off so much speed prior to the bend all he had to do was look in. From the previous corner, looks like he was not comfortable with his speed and continued to lay on the brakes rather than stuffing it onto line and rolling on.

If he had been assessing the bend he would have seen the limit point was opening up lovely before he had even started to turn in, although I do not think there was any turn in...at all

Ah well, we all make mistakes!

Do - go out assuming you are invisible to all road users.
Dont - nod to every bike you see if you go out on a busy route, you'll end up nodding like the churchill dog

Most L plate riders look awful confused when I nod at them round here.

Try not to get into a chase with local Chav and loud stereo if he races away from the lights,same with any fellow bikers,although its hard to resist

Don't: Nod to riders with L plates.

Binning those L plates, getting your first proper bike, and getting your first nod is a sacred biker rite of passage. Don't dilute it

Yes indeed, on the DAS.
It works at pretty much any speed, with the lean angle being more of a factor. You can do it on a 10-15º lean at 20mph quite happily, whereas it's not so good when you're scraping the pegs round the Berinsfield roundabout at 90!
Our focus was more on an extra method of controlling the cornering.

And yet there are some riders who maintain their CBT and ride a 125 more for cheaper commuting and town runabouts, yet are all-weather riders and far more 'proper bikers' than half the twonks out there with fancy gear and fast bikes!!
