Bioshock: The Collection - HD Remastered

My collectors edition Big Daddy got smashed after being knocked off a shelf...

Still got all the pieces so will probably glue it together at some point.

----

Never played Bioshock 2, despite having it in my library for yonks. Think I'll wait until the remaster release and play through Bioshock 1 and 2 then.

Yeah, I have Bioshock 1, too chicken **** to play it for long.

What I did play, I enjoyed but found it VERY atmospheric, in a good way.

An amazing soundtrack/audio score.

It's very, very creepy with a headset or surround sound. I love it.

At least 1 + 2 are free to existing owners they look like garbage nowadays even with the remastering

All this remastering is just a fancy way of saying they want to resell the same game to XB1 + PS4 owners with a slight bump in graphics to PC standards but marketed as remastered to nextgen so sold at almost full price

Love these games played though both 1-2 when they came out and looking forward playing it again this weekend the story is great reminds me of playing system shock 2 back in the day.

Just checked and I have all the Bioshocks, so this is a nice surprise. :D

Really REALLY looking forward to playing 1 & 2 through with remastered graphics, in 4K Ultra...

Last time I played them it was in 1600x900 on low. :p

Bioshock 2 did.

Never played Bioshock on PC, but it should do now.
The original supported Xbox controllers too, so there should be no issues there. It had two totally different front ends in fact, depending on whether you were using a mouse and keyboard or a controller (since it was a toggle in the options). Presumably they'll have made that a little more elegant.

So, how much of an upgrade is it? Worth playing through it again?

Edit: I mean is it worth it graphically, it's in my top 5 so always worth playing it lol
