Apparently the day one patch has made framerates worse for some people. At least that's what I've read.
Hi mate, thanks for your quick reply, much appretiated.
I also wanted to try explain something in a bit more detail, hopefully I can put this point across clearly. You know how sometimes you get a single player PVE game and the fps isn't 144fps like you'd expect in battlefield or something. Sometimes you get a game where the fps is 50-60fps and yet the game feels butter smooth and runs fine? Do youi know what I mean? Well this game was one of those games, it was one of those games that ran butter smooth on 50-60fps (where as I'm sure most people would want 144fps some game like this it really doesn't matter) So the reason I'm explain this is because I don't feel like the problems I have is to do with the fps. It's more sttutering, rubber banding, jerking, frames jumping backwards, I'm not sure if I'm using the right words, but you know when you walk forward one step and the game jerks you back 2 steps? Do you get what I mean? I'm 35 and played PC games over past 20 years and I've had this happen before in other games but this is the first time it's happened in years.
Also my PC runs Battlefield 1, Metro Exodus, Resident Evil 2 & 7, Doom, Fifa 19, Apex Legends, Star Wars Battlefront and VR in high/ultra settings without a hiccup so this game should definitely perform well on my PC.
Plus the demo and the full game tutorial both ran butter smooth also, it's just when you start your first mission in the open world, that's when all these issues started to happen.
I really hope they patch the game ASAP because surely this game should run perfect for everyone who is on a GTX 1060/1070/1080. If they can't make it run good on 1060 then surely all the players on cards lower then mine will suffer too?
I found a forum post here with some potentional fixes to try so I've just implemented these fixes, going to launch the game now and try the 2nd mission and see if it has made any difference. I'm also going to run the game in the lowest possible settings. I'll report straight back.

EDIT: One more question for you guys, should I be running in full screen mode or borderless? Does either effect performance?
