No Half Life Source was just the same game but with Source water and some physics.....Black Mesa is a full remake with new models and textures all based on source engine.....going to be great!

Girlfriend is about to become a Half Life – Black Mesa Widow for a while as this is one game I simply must play, HL1 was amazingly good back in the day, cant’ wait to play a re-mastered version.

don't know but I read a post that having source 2007 SDK was enough, so that's what i've done.. Although I do have HL2 installed as well..

Long as I get to play this I'll be well happy..

I can't help but feel there will be a massive air of disappointment if this turns out to be anything other than absolutely ****ing astounding.

I do fear that as talented as they may be, a bunch of guys working in their spare time aren't going to be able to produce something as high quality and as polished as a genuine Half Life product, but so many people seem to be treating it as such.

I think this might be one of those products that despite being good, suffers because the hype has got so massive and people expect more than can realistically be delivered.

Have you seen any of the production pictures or vids?
The ones from blast pit looked superb and that was at least 2 years ago, before the other source engine updates that came in with Portal 2
