Playing this has made me want to play HL2 again. I think I'll complete this and then maybe get the latest cinematic mod for HL2. <3 modders :D.

Just need HL3 after that...

I'm feeling the same, really want to play HL2 again.

Not at all. HL2 was far more immersive and atmospheric.

Even if someone didn't think HL2 had as much atmosphere, to say it's a run and gun shooter is quite clearly not true.

HL2 does have bigger set pieces (why shouldn't it?) but it also has more puzzles, more complex puzzles and just as many quiet moments where you get to take in your surroundings.

Was watching some videos of the mod and it looked great. Going to hold off on it for a few more weeks until I sort out a new build and then go through HL1, HL2 and the expansions as I never got too far in HL1, got right near the end of HL2 and not played the mods. As mentioned by some of the guys above, may not be the most up to date games but in sheer atmosphere and immersion they take some beating.
 
Man this is so awesome. Either they changed a lot or I have totally forgotton most of the original - did it have locations with the scale of some of the blast pit parts, for example? Just looks awesome!

So I decided to watch some Youtube videos of original HL to see...

People complaining about ladders, You realise if you press "use" key it will lock you on and off ?

I'm doing my nut here, stuck in the reactor core, everything switched on and going around in circles ! anyone ?... don't tell me just a clue would be helpful, I may have a bug :mad:

Thank You, I have a weird bug then , as I have swam that 3/4 times and near end the map reloads and I get stuck until I drown....worked this time though :)
