Black Mesa Source

I played IGI again recently and beat it. :cool:

It's a proper trial and error game, you end up just knowing where each enemy is in the level by the time you can finally complete it, and going into every area pre-firing.
 
What is with that helicopter you come across where you have to blow it up with the rocket??

I must have hit it 10 times and it is still flying around!?!?!?!

If I remember correctly (... I may be thinking of completely the wrong part here), you continue right, around the ledge, and come to two large rocks which seem at first glance to be obstructing the path. But you can just about shimmy around them to get past.

A screenshot might help jog my memory if I'm thinking of the wrong part!

Haha yes spot on! Thanks. I just dismissed them as a dead end!

Heh - nice one.

I did the same and was left scratching my head for a couple of minutes. I wasn't sure it was the part just after the chopper, but I guess so!

I like that the game makes you search around, and "allows" you to get lost on occasion. Far too much hand holding in modern games!

:rolleyes: forget that, looking at other HL saves it does just save the chapters accessed through "new game" option, my mistake when I backed up the save folder I could have sworn there was hundreds of quick saves :)
 
Need more help :o

Haven't got a clue where to go for this part, tried every door and everything just leads me to a dead end, got to the point where there are scientists waiting at the very top after going through all the teleports, think there is something I have to do around here but just can't see what, plus I don't even know how to get in that room:

There are control panels on the left and right of where you are standing.. You need to jump on to the rising pedestal in front of you and then jump back on the rotating lifts to get to those panels. There are switches there, which when turned on will give you access to the portal in the center. Hope this helps
 
How do I get into the room? :p

That is what I am stuck on :p Can't see any switches on walls at all. Jumped over the fence using the crates, but nothing I can see there either :o
 
Oh just realised that the portals in the other chamber take you to different places, thought they all just took you higher up until you reached the scientists :o

Yeah I was thinking wtf am I suppose to do for that entire part, must have spent at least 35 minutes wondering around that area :o
