Black Myth: Wukong

Yeah it's definitely a great game visually.

I'm getting these horizontal lines that seem to move up across the screen every now and again; does anyone else have that / any ideas what causes them?

Good grief. The last chapter 6 boss fights.

I'm not sure how people can say this game is easy :p
Hopefully you haven't started a new journey yet but to get the secret&true ending you should continue your existing journey to do the post game secret bosses.
If you have done the dragon quest, you should be able to do the secret boss fight.

Spent 4hrs last night determined to do wandering wight thinking if i cant do this early boss how can I do the rest.

Gave up on that idea this morning and none of the bosses so far have been anywhere near as bad. Got up to whiteclad noble then went back and tried him again. Still problematic but got him on second try.

Many people are jumping into the battle with wandering wight the moment they see it, just like people did with the tree sentinel in elden ring, the reality is you aren't really mean to engage with him until after meeting the old dude who gives you an upgraded flask. Yes you can kill him, but you'll probably get stressed out and frustrated with it, instead of just getting more levels/power and killing him easily.

And what was your approach, oh wise one?

PSA
If you come across a broken cart in your travels and it has a thing to pull, don't, unless you've met the dude in the cave on chapter 1 and have progressed their quest line. If you pull it and haven't met him he disappears. Guess what I did.
Don't beat chapter 1 boss unless you've rang all bells. This may stop you from getting into the secret area in chapter 1 or it's the big head dude that disappears. You want to kill him.
1000 eye boss. You can get an item that makes the final phase much much easier. In fact most area's have items or upgrades that help with certain bosses in secret areas.
You can do the secret ending after beating the final boss. You Don't need to start new cycle to get the secret ending. You just have to have completed secret area's on chapters, 1,2,4 & 5.
After secret ending, pickup special gourd from old dude in chapter 5 by the fire temple.

I had the opposite. Struggled with Whiteclad. Think it took me 10 - 15 tries where as BigHead I nobbled him in 2. I think because I left him a bit and was more powerful when I tackled him again. The game has a few bosses that will have you wondering how to beat them and suddenly you do. Very rewarding.

Great game.

The obvious, explore, unlock the first transformation skill, then the big baby boss is a breeze. There are plenty of bosses in the game that are a tough challenge, but if you explore and do some of the side content they become much easier, either because you've unlocked new power, or you gain access to new skills/spells or can upgrade/craft better items.

On chapter 6 now and what a game so far, love it. I could probably have finished it by now but went back to explore and finish off everything in previous chapters, it's surprising how much you can miss even when you think you've seen it all.

I don't care what anyone says, imo this game can be just as hard as Elden Ring. I'm currently getting my butt handed to me by that nasty Tiger.

I can get him down to an inch of health but he just hits so hard and his moves are really hard to dodge, I keep messing up the timing. Not sure if I'm missing any necessary upgrades but I've explored everything I think.

totally agree with this, it's great fun though!!

I did the fire guy to the left of him, then the wolf then went back and did wandering wight, it's not too bad if you use the trees to shield a bit!

I actually find this far harder than Elden Ring, I just cannot seem to time my dodges right and some of the bosses have some really ludicrous attack moves. Whereas I 100%'d Elden Ring on multiple characters I'm really struggling to get too far into this one. As it stands at the moment I much prefer Elden Ring

I'm also encountering that thing some other people have mentioned where you press to heal and it doesnt respond and you have to press to heal again, I also get that on the heavy attack sometimes, I press to build up a heavy attack and it just doesnt seem to accept that I've pressed the heavy and I have to press it again, the graphics are better than FromSoftwares stuff but Fromsoftwars controls are more responsive. With all the titles coming this month (Age of Mythology, Space Marine 2, Satisfactory 1.0, God of War Ragnarok) I'll probably shelve this game for now and come back to it later in the year

I've not noticed this. Just had a quick look online though and some have mentioned turning off frame gen helped this issue.
That didnt seem to help me. I was sitting in the my simrig yesterday so decided to have a play on the UW screen and strangely enough I didnt see the issue at all.

It's not something that puts me off too much and I don't notice it when in a battle, just when walking around.

I've just got into Chapter 2; finding the game really fun. Some things aren't well explained though, there's a skill you can get early on - Resolute counterflow - and I can't work out what I need to do to activate it at all. Something like doing a geavy attack during a light combo when a focus point is consumed. May have to resort to google!

It’s a timing thing, after you hit the third part of your light combo press heavy attack and it’ll trigger it. You’ll sort of figure out the timing the more you do it!
