BMW and M Power Owners

There's a pic just a few pages back, but it's a 2012 E92 with competition pack, metallic mineral white with bamboo(?) leather. 28k miles. It's a glorious machine!

Ah yes, perfect! Looks awesome.

I think i recognize it from PH? How much did you get it for?

I'm hoping to look at one on Saturday when I'm back in UK, want to look at it ASAP cause it looks perfect spec (Comp, DCT, EDC and HK with a non black interior)

picked the m5 up earlier from Berry BMW heathrow

1st, this dealer is just shockingly rubbish, one to avoid.

2nd what a motor, on the test drive i never stretched the legs of it, but did on the way home and no idea what speed it was but shifting to 4th at high revs sent the back end light in the damp. it really does just shift some and some more.

3rd the inside is a lovely place to be, will need to drop the run flats in the long term but it rides lovely

A shame the DCT doesn't kick like the old SMG, I loved that gearbox for its brutality.

I paid the same price as it has miles. The competition pack cars attract a premium which some might say isn't really deserved over a non-comp. HK is a nice and rare option! :)
Best of luck and of course we need pics ;)

Same rattle plagued me for my entire ownership, I never could find the source :(

Gah! Don't say that :p

Who did you deal with? I'll be getting mine from there in a couple of months...

Paul Stokes, he was a nice guy but ultimately i feel he was probably the main problem, he had a day of in the week and then some course where they drove cars around Donnington park.

In that time he had nobody covering his work and when i called for a update nobody called back.

in the end two wheels were not refurbed as agreed, a little leather repair was not done, they over charged £100 on some insurance i took, car had no fuel in it and i had to drive him to a fuel station to sort, spare key was locked in a safe? so only got one key and i asked him to get me some rubber mats for the front (at my cost) he didn't bother.

He said he was of thurs fri so never saw the car but not really my problem.

Anyhow i will get it sorted with them but i wouldn't recommend sorry to say plus the customer parking is shocking, if there was one place to get your car dented it would be here.

all the mini salespeople park on the grass infront of the dealership and then proceed to leave mud all over the path when they go home, silly thing but i noticed.

Sounds a bit naff, not dealing with him though anyway. I did hear of a collection last week where the dealer lost all the keys the day before so the new owner had to come back after they found them...

The M5 doesn't have runflats :p

I find it amazing what people consider as "issues" which convince them to give up a car they love. A £20 valve cover gasket, a couple of bushes that need replacement and a few rattles from the interior can't be treated as "issue after issue".

The only thing that is an issue on your car is the roof motor failing, everything else is just a service item that a local mechanic would do in half a day for £150 all in. Even then the roof motor is only £175 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-roof-motor-NEW-/282326239779?.

I've been quoted £200 ish for the oil leak, similar for the suspension work, looking around on z4 forum its 500-700 for the roof.

Its £1k+ of repair work and i've only had the car for a year and a bit, so yeah, Bit expensive ain't it.

If you wanna point me in the direction of a mechanic in south wales who'll do the oil leak and suspension for £150 then please, do tell.
