I've never had a BMW which was more than +/- 1mpg from the true figure.

My lowest tank to date is 18.21 mpg and best 31.97 mpg.

30+ mpg will never happen for me, luckily I bought my car to hoon everywhere and not eek out 0.1mpg by slip streaming a lorry at 55mph

My average now over 11 full tanks is 15.55 mpg
An exhaust and remap later makes it worth the 35p/ per mile.

'Smug face'. Currently hooning and getting 40mpg. Well...39
Mine was a DCT. 7th isn't really a cruising gear, motorway speed was ~3500RPM iirc.

You cant actually "hoon" in a diesel, its called "chugging".

I recently sold my Mini GP (sad times). It was a lot of fun and I am glad I got to own one, but it was quite tiring doing 60 odd miles a day.
I replaced it with one of the last E82 135i's. Manual 2013 car with only 26k. I could have purchased a M135i which is technically no doubt better, more tech, newer generation...but I just can't stand the look of them. The E82 is old school in a charming BMW way that reminds me of my E30's way back when I started driving.

Cheers! The colour combo sold it to me...a lot of the late cars were in black or white, I think this spec must have been quite rare.
It feels great with the N55 and a manual gearbox. Plus it has hydraulic steering...I get to drive the odd new BMW at work, and compared to the electric steering on the new stuff, hydraulic still has the edge for me!

Colour combo is awesome! Love 135s. With a chip and some exhaust mods you can tickle 400bhp in one.
Indeed! I've fitted BMW Performance suspension to it as the standard M sport suspension is a real let down on the car. It handles massively better now. At some point I plan on ditching the run flats, fitting a BMW Performance exhaust and getting it mapped. DMS quote about 370-380hp from a remap. BMW say the exhaust is worth about 5hp. it goes quite nicely stock, I think even at 350hp it would be perfect for everyday.
