BMW and M Power Owners

You would think they would have fixed the Turbo issues with the M135i, Turbo issue have been from 2006, the M135i started life at 2012.

The M235i Is not far off that Sport Plus price I linked, Much prefer the coupe.

you'd think but I'd only want one with BMW warranty.. turbos always scare me, plus I'm a bit unsure on m135i looks, the facelift one looks a bit better than the fat eyes pre-facelift.

You'd have to be nuts to spend that on an E82.

that's my point, it's not going to appreciate and it is just a 1 series with a fat engine, not a new one either.

Recently picked up an f20 n55 m135i, wish I'd took the plunge sooner! Are there many owners on here?

I was hoping to pick up a new one in a few years but that won't be happening if the fwd/IL4/2.0 rumour becomes a reality, the 3.0 IL6 and rwd are what make this car amazing and I'd rather keep hold of the current steed if this is the way they're thinking of going.

Yep, F21 LCI M135i here. Killsta and Havana also have M135i's.

Good to know there’s a few on there to discuss stuff with, the Facebook group is all jb4 / decat / <25mpg or they’re not interested!

How do you guys find the drive? I came from a 170bhp xtrail which I seemed to drive relatively quickly up to the speed limit, with the m135i I find myself being way more of a grandad, often find myself sat at 50 in a 60 when I’m not paying attention. That might be partly down to the manual box as it’s super quiet at 50 but starts to build noise wise when you get to 60.

Check out the BabyBMW M135i/M140i/M235i/M240i sub-forum. It's a great resource for help on issues, modding and just general chat about the car.

I came from a 1.4 Cooper so the drive was always going to be night and day. Do you have adaptive suspension and if so which mode do you typically drive in?

Thanks for that. Don’t have adaptive suspension and I’ve not tried it either so couldn’t comment. In terms of engine modes I use eco for busy commutes and comfort for most other drives. Sport/+ comes out now and again but I find comfort gives enough without the hassle of changing modes.

Think this is the full spec:

Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Dakota leather
High-gloss Black interior trim finisher
Extended storage
Seat heating. front
Harman Kardon - Hi-Fi
Media package - Professional
Driver comfort package
Sun protection package
Park Distance Control (PDC). front and rear
BMW M Performance front kidney grills in black

Has anyone compared/driven the G01 X3 M40i and a G31 (540i/530d/530i)? I'm curious as to the difference in cabin comfort as the price is very similar. They're both brand new designs and have all the latest toys, I like the idea of an estate but the wife would much rather an SUV...

Also when do we expect the F31 replacement? Do BMW typically release the sedan before the estate or are they about the same time? I'll likely be looking seriously september 2018 and really I think a 340i estate would fit the bill quite nicely for me just don't want to buy a car about to be replaced...
f31 is 2019 I think?

Both the new 5'er and the X3 are very nice inside, the G31 with the nappa leather comfort seats is ridiculously nice. I don't think you could go wrong with either tbh.

I guess I may as well forget the new 3er then.

I'm trying to understand the difference between dakota & nappa. A friend has a 5er F10 with comfort seats and tbh I'm not really a fan, the leather doesn't feel that supple compared to Volvo for example. Do comfort seats always come with nappa as it seems to in the G30? I'm actually tempted by the msport cloth/alcantara options as I love a bit of alcantara but the other part of me loves the idea of massaging seats...
You can get comfort without nappa, the nappa is another upgrade above the comfort seats and is quite a lot softer and more supple. But £££!

Warranty is your friend ;)
They came back! I don't get it.

It was working on the first half of a journey. At some point - including one full switch off and restart lasting about 1min - they stopped.

I then got home, car wasn't used for about 4 hours but they were working when I got back in.

The window was working (dropped when I opened the door), the mirror auto-dimming was working, the door lights were working. However none of the controls worked and there was no lights on the controls themselves.
