So my 320D has had issues with the Idrive screen/system re-booting.
Took it to a friend today and he read the codes.
It's throwing up a hell of a lot of overvoltage faults, checked the alternator and it's not regulating correctly.
New alternator fitted £420 in vat from a bmw specialist.
He also said that the vibration I can feel through the clutch may be down to a failing bearing in the clutch mechanism.
Car has only completed 54k.
I have the Comprehensive BMW Insured warranty, so it looks like I will be going down the route of claiming.
All but 1 of the services have been carried out by BMW, the last service was carried out by the car supermarket I bought the vehicle from.
I have all the paperwork from that service and all the other information is on the key fob.
Can anyone see any grounds for them possibly rejecting any claim I may submit?
Cheers
