BMW and M Power Owners

I switched from bridgestone 19" runflats on my F31 to Michelin PS2's and they are a lot better. Ride is better (especially over potholes) but also the handling feels a lot more confidence-inspiring.

Managed to sell my part-worn runflats for a reasonable amount on ebay too which helped ease the ££ pain.

Ooo you just wait until you start using a tyre from the last 15 years. You're in for a treat!

Definitely not the black grill - too council. Carbon I don't mind tbh bit of a fad but it can look quite cool

my 67 plate m240i lci putting new carbon mirror covers on today along with black grilles only had the car 2 weeks im now loving it after replacing rear tyres

That's a nice motor. Personally, I wouldn't go with the black grilles or carbon mirror covers and spend the money on 4 wheel alignment instead, but that's just me :)

My M5 has black grilles and black side grilles which the previous owner had fitted at great expense (genuine BMW items). I looked into changing it all back to the standard chrome and black; as you'd imagine the standard kidneys are pretty cheap to pick up second hand, but the cost of the side grilles is really high with sets on eBay advertised for £150. So I decided to leave it as it is.

On the subject of cars with tricolour fins I think that looks awful. I had a 335i SE saloon on 17s. Kept it standard in appearance although it was mapped and had a couple of bolt ons. A low key version of a top end model is a good thing in my book.

Did the PCV diaphragms on the 650i last night and gave the housings a good clean. Much better with the cold start and running this morning. All hesitation and stutter has now gone.

Please don't, unless you like hanging out around the back of Tesco car parks with your bonnet open. And even if that's the case, please don't. Looks gorgeous as is

Appreciate everyone’s comments regarding grilles etc I’ve always found silver plastic to look cheap on cars never liked it and as for the mirrors I’m not a fan of the grey I would have preferred them to come black or same paint as car and as for carbon lol I’m picking up my weekend and funday driver tomorrow which is the brand new carbon edition rs5 which looks stunning I’ll put pics up of both cars together at the weekend

First motorway drive in the 428i, very comfy. The only thing I noticed was the drone noise from the tires - I assume that's a nuance of RFT.

Sort of, although it's a combination of poor soundproofing and incredibly harsh UK roads.

My F30 was significantly quieter in Europe.

I went for a test drive up north in a 6 series and it was still very noisy. Odly enough - the local E class taxis were very silent, so it can be done with the right soundproofing.

The M1 was pretty smooth for the most part, it just sounded like a drone from the wheels. I couldn't hear the engine.

I switched from bridgestone 19" runflats on my F31 to Michelin PS2's PS4's and they are a lot better. Ride is better (especially over potholes) but also the handling feels a lot more confidence-inspiring.
