BMW and M Power Owners

Don't worry guys, I'm getting an M240i 2nd July, and that will be driven properly :D Can't wait, got a road trip planned to scotland already, hardknotts pass should be a good laugh!
Honestly, Hardknott isn't much fun in a car it's so tight and narrow!

Scotland will be lovely though

I've never understood the idea behind buying a top-end version of a run-of-the-mill car and then not using it. The whole point of cars like that is that they are performance cars you can use every day.

Agreed. Heck most of those cars exist because they're precisely that!

As promised :)... Absolutely love it!!!

So a few weeks ago Rilot took my lovely 2008 650i away and it was swiftly replaced by..... another 6 series!

Will shortly be receiving a remap to circa 400bhp.

Picture not working. What else are you having done to get 400bhp - seems a bit optimistic from a remap.

Image works for me (it's just hosted with Postimg). Clicky.

Graphs seem to show around 400bhp with a remap (I'm well aware that all dyno's are different and 400bhp is likely to be a one off run.....).

The I drive in my f20 is telling me my rear pads need changing in 30 miles however there looks to be about 7mm of pad left. A bit of googling tells me it's the idrive needing an update?

Any idea what bmw would charge for an update?

Arm + leg. I had my last one in for some warranty work and asked them if they could do the software update whilst it was in. £300.00. I did it myself for nothing. Took 30 mins.

If you've got a warning then the sensor must have worn through. There is only one wear sensor at the front and one at the back so worth checking the pads on both sides, inside and out just in case you've got a stuck pad which has resulted in it wearing quicker.
