BMW and M Power Owners

Am I mad or are i8's looking pretty juicy atm? Depreciation on the first 1-2 years seems mega, and then not so bad? Plenty around 50-55 grand with a 4 year GFV @26-28k?

Wheels are being refurbed before collection

Sorry to hear this.

I had the same misfortune. After driving me insane for over a year I finally got the factory finish back after spending a fortune at a specialist refurbishment firm. I will now make a point of insisting wheels are not refurbished prior to collection. They always seem to get a quick tyres on blow over - my dad's 520d has silver paint on the old wheel weight pads.. all main dealer jobs.

A friend of a friend owns a wheel refurb place, so if they aren’t to a decent spec finish when I pick it up I’ll obviously, complain like mad and take them to get done properly. Actually was thinking black wheels would look better!

If you’re going to go black just get some black plastic clip on wheel trim and cable tie them to the alloys, much cheaper and you’ll end up with a similar look.

Could anyone help me please, I’m possibly looking at a M135i/M140i 2014-2017 in the near future, I’m only interested in the auto gearbox, however I’m unsure what versions there are.

I’ve read about DCT which I think is the twin clutch box, then a standard 8 speed auto, but I think I’ve also read about a sport auto.

Could anybody clarify exactly what gearboxes are available in auto form for the years mentioned above.

Noticed a nail in front tyre, looked shallow but didn't want to risk pulling it out myself and requiring a recovery. Took it to kwik fit who were the only place open now, they spotted another one in a rear tyre.

They were trying to tell me it isn't a good idea to repair (UHP tyres and a lie about the standard tread only being 5mm when new), but I was going to insist on a repair anyway (repairable zones), so they gave up that tact.

However, just before that happened I asked them to pull them out to see if they were actually leaking (tyres weren't actually deflating). Front tyre nail was diagonal and shallow, and the rear one was just a short screw. Unfortunately for them there was nothing for them to do and you could see they were disappointed. I'd feel bad for them if it wasn't for the standard tread lie.
