BMW and M Power Owners

£1800?! Surely not. At that money it is not worth it.

The 2012 car will have the newer engine and potentially the newer idrive.

The air suspension units are a nuisance but not eye wateringly expensive to replace.

I know, I punched the details into the insured warranty website and that is what came back!!
I presume it is because it is so close to the 60k mark.
I have also read that the air units are quite easy to replace if they fail.

It doesn't change as it gets closer, it's one price or the other depending on which side it is.

Recently I have noticed a trend in significantly increasing the cost for new customers. I pay about 850 a year on my 530d and even that is borderline whether it's worth it.

Meanwhile the equally complex 335d xDrive is half the price for the warranty...

Lol the independent made a mistake with their quote for the brakes.. Actually only 100 cheaper than main dealer so I'll stick with dealer, regardless of whether its just pads or disc's as well... I'm hoping the dealer will be honest enough to only do pads if the disc's are actually OK.

Regarding warranty I never bothered renewing it at the end of the 3 years.. Touching wood 18 months later no bills at all to make me regret that..

Afternoon all

My 2014 "5" series (70k mileage) is due to go back to the local BMW dealership early next year when the PCP finishes (4 year agreement) its been an amazing car to drive/own!

What are my options at that time, its been BMW serviced and well looked after by myself, I'm looking to change to a Skoda Kodiaq but wanted to make sure I get the best agreement walking away, did not want to call the sales guys there as I don't trust they have my best interest at heart!

Any advice would be awesome, and if I could change cars now, even better! I don't however want a bad credit score if I do take it back too soon

Thanks :)

What's the value of your car and are you more than half way through the payments?

Why on earth would you go from a 5 Series to a Kodiak?!
Personal circumstances, we have a 6 berth caravan, a Ford SMAX that is on its last legs (which the wife hates driving)

Peoples needs change Fox. I wish you’d grasp that idea sometimes.
:D

Humans other than yourself? + little ones.
Family of 6 me, the wife and four children, 4 years to 14 year age range with the little ones

PCP is up early next year, current value from BMW last letter was around 11k (I'd need to confirm that)

There's no logic, so a woman must be involved with the decision process.
Afraid there is :)

The BMW was a dream of mine from a young age sitting in my dads 316i but times change and it won’t fit 6 of us! :( Or tow a town axle 6 berth caravan :)

Evening.

Cleaned my f10 earlier and noticed what looks like a small bit of paint bubbling, front passenger side just by the wing mirror

Is it common on these.. 65 plate car

Thanks

Dropped my car at bmw on Monday morning to get two small areas of bubbling paint fixed under their corrosion warranty.... How long would you expect this to take? I've left 3 messages for the bodyshop manager to call me back but I've heard nothing at all on when the car will be ready..

Just had my idrive updated to the July 2020 build, this is the one that includes Android Auto. The good news is that unlike CarPlay, google maps turn instructions appear on both the dash and HUD. It is more basic than the BMW map in the HUD but useful nonetheless.
