BMW and M Power Owners

I don't think BMW AUC would sell a car without proper BMW Warranty, that's the point. If it doesn't qualify it goes somewhere else (perhaps within the dealer network, but not at the dealer itself, see places like Sytner Select).

i bought it in january AUC but they gave me a "car care plan" warranty. unless they duplicated both the 3rd party warranty and BMW warranty

What?
Are you sure you didn't purchase some sort of third party extra extension? All BMW AUC cars come with a warranty, it is part of the AUC program:

MINIMUM 12 MONTH UNLIMITED MILEAGE BMW WARRANTY.
Designed to protect your investment, our extensive Warranty provides unlimited mileage protection against breakdown and repair costs for parts and labour for a minimum of 12 months. All factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components are covered, even the exhaust and the battery are guaranteed.

Are you sure it was an AUC? Some of the big groups also own car supermarket style retail operations, too.

Hopefully the value is going up now :p

The ones I see for sale are up in price, don't know what's sold though.

They're either 1.5-2.5k sheds or 7k+ low mileage fancy ones.

Missing the G05 from yesterday, getting back in the F15 was quite depressing with the dated interior and slow to work AC. I also had to do the steering thing myself...... How ancient :p

Definitely AUC. Was from halliwell Jones BMW. I did get an extra 2 years warranty for £200/yr. But that should start 01/2022, not 01/2021.
Maybe they just entered the date wrong or something

So the extra warranty at that price will be some third party thing (why did you buy that?).

The best thing to do would have been to renew the AUC warranty when it expires rather than buy some third party thing. Especially on a high end 4 series which has one of the best value BMW warranty prices.

This seems like there is an issue. Never encountered any real difference in AC operation between F and G Series BMW.

Infact I got my F10 out the garage for the first time in a month yesterday and had ice cold AC right away...

Yeah it always seemed a bit slow, but the older M50d did the same.

The AC also seemed to either be too hot at 17.5, then a bit cold at 17.....

Cuz clearly I like to waste my money...lol
(TBH I didn't do my due diligence looking into warranties, so when they offered 2 extra years for £400 i just said ok. I didn't equire about who will be handling the warranty on year 1 or 2/3. Just had an email come through a week after the purchase to say that there was a warranty and it is with Car Care Plan.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, that warranty may have been voided with a performance modification. See if you can still cancel it with a small admin charge.

Small claim to fame. My Uncle's Brother was the Halliwell from Halliwell jones. Sold it though.

You need the little dial that the exx has to get the temperature perfect.

yes those German thermostats where you have to boost the fan, vs auto for maximum effect , are a bit special, as discussed before.

As already mentioned...the “intensity” setting was BMW‘s capitulation to the owners that complained about the fan being too loud when AUTO mode was selected and ambient temps were in the 80s/90s upward. The intensity setting allows them to still use the AUTO mode but only have the HVAC’s blower run at a lower speed...thus its quieter. But the “con” to this is that it will take longer for the cabin to reach the selected set value in very hot temps.
