BMW and M Power Owners

Yeah going to check with my local garage.

I've only done just over 17k miles.

Edit
200 for BMW pads, 150 for after market at my local place.
Nearly 8 months later, I got a warning light about my brakes this morning. Definitely worth waiting. Shall get it booked in at my local garage as 300 quid is a bit too steep.

I guess some may argue that you could reuse sensors if you don't let them trip.

There is no inspection 2. It's gone for ever and it died with the E46 almost 15 years ago.

The car is due and oil service and vehicle check next month, have a look at the service book and see what was done last time it had an oil service but it's likely now due the major oil service with the plugs and filters etc too, hence the cost. In terms of work this when combined with the also due vehicle check is basically the equivalent of the old inspection 2 so probably where the confusion has come from.
Car is in for an “Inspection II” service today, that’s what the dealer is calling it anyway. Computer says it needs oil and brake fluid service, and I’ll get them to assess the brakes as well as they’ve got about 1-2k left on each end according to the computer. It’s just ticked over 60k miles so I suppose it’s no harm doing a fuller service but seems pricey at £566+GST for the “Inspection II” and a further £132 for the brake fluid.

It’s a 2011 E93, what price would this cost in the UK and is there a full list of what would be included anywhere?

Only reason I’m still going through a main dealer is for the service history alongside the extended bmw warranty.

E93 are now on the ‘older car’ pricing and condition based servicing. So will massively depend on what you need beyond oil, filters and brake fluid.

Spark plugs etc

Sold my 2014 320D a few weeks back, paid £15,250 5 years ago and sold for £11,500 having put 25,000 miles on it (52k-77k). Not sure if I ever posted any pictures on here when I got it.

Rich (BB code):

Going to miss the car, only needed servicing, brakes and tyres in the 5 years and never skipped a beat. Doing even less miles now, I am fortunate to replace it with something more exotic. (details in the Porsche thread ;))

My M340i Touring was delivered on Tuesday this week but I didn't have time to really drive it much or have a good nose around it until the tail end of the week, due to other stuff.

Initial impressions thus far are excellent. It's pretty rapid especially in Sport Plus mode with the gearstick knocked over to the left. Pulls like a train  . All the tech on it is a bit daunting as it was specced with pretty much every pack available and being an early 2021 car it seems to have escaped any lack of semi-conductor issues so there doesn't seem to be anything deleted. I'll definitely need to have a good read through the drivers guide app. Loving the Driver Assistance Pro and wasn't sure about the HUD to start with but its growing on me now.

Loving the Dravit Grey, although I know some folk aren't keen on it. Changes colour depending on the sunlight and time of day :)

Makes my 320i x-drive look like a Ford Ka!

PS your neighbours reg plate is visible in the 6th and 7th pictures.

Head ruled the heart at the weekend for the first time in my vehicle buying life. After deciding on wanting an M car having almost pushed the button on one many times before, have gone for a X3m40i to replace my diesel RR Sport. I loved the F80 M3 Comp but my Mrs really didn't like it and wanted to stay with a bigger vehicle. Tried the X5M and X3M but they are so pricey here even for a few year old model. I've recently changed jobs and walk to to the office and back, 40 minutes each way. I drive to the gym each morning, 1km each way and occasionally go away camping, cycling or scuba diving at weekends so needed something big enough to carry our stuff without having to roof mount something.

2019, Sophisto Grey. 55,000 kms. In immaculate condition. Hopefully pick it up at the weekend if the finance goes though quick enough.

Correct. How do I know if it's the front or rear ones that need replacing? I can't find anywhere that says on the app or on the dash.
Turns out i needed both front and rear. Got BMW parts fitted with sensors for £450 at my local garage. BMW wanted £670 and that didn't include sensors.

Does the BMW do torque vectoring using the rear brakes like the Jag?

If so I can understand outrageous wear on the rear as well as the front...

Great car. Once you go HUD you never want to go back. Same with the adaptive cruise/ Shame so many BMW's dont come with it as standard.

Good luck figuring out all the stuff. BMW Gurus are useless, the BMW online videos "help" a bit but sometimes still leaves you flummoxed. Had to resort to watching other people videos on youtube to figure all of mine out.
