The driver hit a stationary vehicle, seemingly with no other party involved. Is that a sign of competent observation and driving skill?
Can you show how a court would prove that the driver was "allowing the standard of driving to fall below that of a competent and careful driver", when all the driver has to do is simply go no comment (as any good solicitor will tell you to do) and then say in court a child ran out he swerved to avoid, or an oncoming driver was at fault who left scene.
I think your crying that the police should surely act speaks on your lack of experience breaking the law and the police in general. Please don't do that and listen to the posters who don't feel the need to dry snitch to teacher.
Edit: I'm sorry if that comes across as harsh, I just hate people who run to the police for everything and anything, especially as when it'll do no one any good, improve society, or even could be you or I should we make a simple mistake one day.
A van hit my car yesterday whilst it was parked up
It's at Sytner BMW now and they quoted £25,500 to repair it! it's now a total write off, I think the rear axel must've been heavily damaged, it got shunted about 6 foot up the kerb and damaged 3 wheels plus the front splitter aswell.
Sunroof didn't particularly bother me, just a nice to have I guessI'm not clued up on M2 spec but it appears decent. I take it you're after a sunroof?
I have an android phone anyway so not too bothered... I believe you can get this coded retrospectively as well. Might be worth buying an old iphone in the future for it I guessI'm not clued up on M2 spec but it appears decent. I take it you're after a sunroof? Edit, is it missing CarPlay? Not sure if that option came on the Comp but don't see why it wouldn't have been available on the OG.
Yes, it can be coded. I did that on my M140i which uses the same EVO unit I believe.I have an android phone anyway so not too bothered... I believe you can get this coded retrospectively as well. Might be worth buying an old iphone in the future for it I guess
Yes, it can be coded. I did that on my M140i which uses the same EVO unit I believe.
However coding is now flagged straight away in ISTA whenever the dealer plugs the car in, and they may use that as an excuse to invalidate electronics warranty (both AUC and Insured).
Interesting, how does this work?tbh I'd just get an MMI box with android auto rather than coding carplay if you don't even use an iPhone! (I coded it and it wasn't worth it with having to remove it every time it went to the dealer etc)
Interesting, how does this work?
Not AFAIK. As long as you either keep it under 100k miles of you pay yearly or keep up the monthly payments. Happy to be corrected though.Bmw warranty - is there a max age for the car until they will refuse to warrant it?
I'd be going straight from approved used warranty to extending it
OK, car is currently on 34k, so I'll probably do an annual payment for the year after, then monthly from then on in case I hit the magic 60k!Not AFAIK. As long as you either keep it under 100k miles of you pay yearly or keep up the monthly payments. Happy to be corrected though.
Did you buy the M2?Bmw warranty - is there a max age for the car until they will refuse to warrant it?

YepDid you buy the M2?
are they keeping the software on these current with the 2023/lastest tiled android auto updates ?If you do get a box, get a Mr12Volt system, as it uses the MOST (optical fibre) system for digital audio rather than using the aux, which others tend to do.
