BMW and M Power Owners

I don't think I've seen the laser functionality ever work on mine (Though I've not owned it through winter yet) but the better high beam assistant is absolutely excellent and something I did not want to be without. The daytime running lights also look much nicer as well, so for me the Visibility Package was on my essentials list. It does make it more difficult to find a car though as most of them don't have it.
The lasers are noticeable when they activate, they increase the throw of the high beam a fair amount. Depending on when and where you drive they don't come on all that often though, ie it needs to be dark enough for the auto high beams to trigger and you have to be doing over about 40km/h. Definitely on the nice to have list from a purely functional perspective, although I agree that the DRLs that come with the visbility pack make the front look much nicer and was also the reason it was on my must-have list.

Looking forward to the Asbo exhaust noise and little extra performance.
I really did not want to go for a BM3 map, even though it would get 400 easily.. I worry that it will stress the drive train a little too much for long term use.
depending on where you live, your neighbours will enjoy the 6 pot starting...or really hate it
the main benefit of getting the MPPSK is that you get to keep the bmw warranty should anything go balls up
(and +34hp and the straight piped exhaust + back box)

Reading up the page it's pretty surprising how much doesn't come as standard on a premium branded car. I have a 2013 BMW which i'm guessing came with a few packs when the original person bought it. Think the options mine doesn't have is voice activation as there's a button on the wheel that does zilch, it doesn't have a heated steering wheel either which maybe nice.
One piece of tech it has which i don;t think works on my car very well is the auto full beam... it splits when something is coming towards me but does seem a little slow to react. I tend not to use it. Turning lights is good going around corners. One thing that looks really fancy is when you first power on the car and the lights go through a sequence where they move i think. looks really cool.

I suppose brands just try to make a car as basic as possible to screw people over with all the packs.

It's unfortunately a German thing primarily, the japs and Koreans give most stuff as standard based on the trim level you buy. Very few options to select

Off to Warwick Rybrook BMW tomorrow.
MPPSK kit has arrived and will be installed :D

New joint looks pretty nice, see Kia taken over the old site

I had adaptive xenons in my 2013 4 series.
Agree it isn't as good as the newer adaptive LEDs (which I now also have in my 2018 4 series). The newer LEDs have faster response than the xenons...but then they are also 5 years newer so there's that

Bmw fitted the MPPSK kit.
But didn't flash it... because the ATM unit isn't chassis matched. Only BMW would be unable to flash an ECU because a totally independent module wasn't showing the right numbers...

So... they extracted a further grand out of me for a new ATM module. Sigh

I'd have walked away at that point. £1k!

Wow. How was the new unit chassis matched?

You should have just paid for the exhaust and walked away.

The MPPSK tune can be done for very little.

ouch
did you buy the car knowing that it had been modded?

lot of money - disappointing that they spotted the bay unit you recoded - was the ongoing BMW warranty becoming contingent on having the ATM correct

Yep, needed to be able to update the car to do the flash and also all modules be chassis correct for the BMW warranty to be applicable.

Understandable. I'm not that angry about it. The car is amazing and sounds bloody ace.
