BMW and M Power Owners

All that matters, is I love the car. :)

Currently debating with myself to either buy or not buy the comfort access bits. I miss that feature which my MPS had. (it had a button on the handle, but near enough)

Anyone ever Retrofitted comfort access?

Correct; which is why he bought the car having "done a deal" with the dealer to offset the cost of repair and save a journey. The fact it would cause an issue fitting an exhaust isn't "obvious" at all.

Perhaps obvious was unfair as it's his first BMW, but amongst BMW owners it's well known that a software update is required for most things, certainly for a BMW dealer ECU mapping, and that this requires all fitted modules to be correct for the car :)

Our Tiguan has comfort access, the M3 doesn't and I don't 'wish' I had it. It's alright but it's not something I'd go out of my way to have, and as above, it makes cars infinitely more stealable.

I've ended up changing my 2018 730d... for a 2020 840i Coupe. Slightly less comfortable, but very high spec and a lot more fun (to look at, and drive). I don't really need the practicality of the Gran Coupe and the 2 door looks quite a lot sleeker.

Options (mostly part of packs) - Tanzanite Blue, Ivory Merino, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround, Laserlights, Driving Assistant Pro, Parking Assistant Plus, Heat Comfort, Alcantara Headlining, Ventilated Seats, Drive Recorder, Soft-close, Sun Protection Glass, Piano Black trim.

Standard spec is quite good anyway with HUD, etc. It has avoided the TW Fox Approved Black Package as well, so the grille is chrome and no black wheels either.

Will get some decent pictures at some point, but I absolutely love it so far. The economy is pretty impressive too - can easily get into the mid 40's with minimal effort.

Lovely! The B58 is a magnificent engine too.

Fab spec as well

Can't wait for pictures :D

What are you waiting for? Pics man!

Is it normal for the DAB radio to be pants? I drove all the way from the north-east down to Irchester (about a 3 1/2 hour) drive. And it was constantly on and off (no signal) all the way there and all the way back. I wondered if it just needed a retune (if that is even a thing with DAB)? Any advice? Thankfully I had spotify to keep me going but I was pretty dissappointed.

Mine is crap too (2 series). The quality of DAB is also rubbish anyway, so I just use my phone to stream the radio on longer journeys

Bah thought as much cheers! I'm guessing the receiver is in the rear screen, similar to the Mustang and that always had issues with reception quality.

I've booked mine in to get that looked at amongst other things, might as well rinse the AUC warranty whilst I have it...
but I don't expect it to improve TBH

Basically identical to fox's iirc just a plate older. Only stuff it's missing is electric seats and the self driving/radar cruise stuff. But realistically you won't get them all together unless you find a unicorn.

This is one of the major reasons I went for an m550, easier to get a higher spec! For me the memory seats needing the top comfort pack is absolutely bonkers when my f36 and e92 had them as standard, and I wouldn't accept manual seats now.
Are electric seats an optional extra then? On an M line (or whatever it's called)? Crazy.

I would be surprised if they do anything, I have had the same problem in every car I've owned with it.

Is that BMW only cars?
My dad's Audi A8 (15 plate) on my work commute is nearly always in signal, but the M2 has largely no signal most of the way. Pretty annoying.

This sounds absolutely amazing.

I did want one but didn't like the warranty costs :(

DAB has generally been fine on my previous BMW's, better than some Audi/Mercs I've tried.
DAB with my current BMW is no better, or no worse, than my Audi A3 & A4 was, or our current Fiesta. They all lost/lose their signal in the exact same places.
