Can anybody recommend a BMW specialist somewhere around Oxford or Swindon please? I'm looking to preemptively change the rear air springs on my 12 year old F11 530D (they've gone twice so far, at 4 years old and 8 years old), and also have a headlight leak investigated.
I used to take my old 330i to BMWorx (now DMWorx) just outside Aylesbury, who were great, but it's a bit far to go now I'm based in Witney.
Thanks Tom - if I can't find anything more local I might take it down there and just visit family that are back over that way. They were great but I've not been down there since I got my 530D, which I bought in late 2015, so it's been quite a while!Side note if you do decide it's not too far, the good guys (Russ and Tim) have moved about 50 feet to start a new business called "Swift Performance", though they specialise in the tastier stuff (M cars, track prep etc). DMworx probably still better for this work.
Nice to be back in a Beemer! The new i4 arrived this week after a month with a temp EV.
Really impressed. Only a handful of electric horses down on my M3 of 20 years ago, it certainly shifts.
Any i4 owners know if you can turn the deafening central locking 'beep' volume down?
I have a DCT OG, check seat bolster inflation works properly as well as airbags in them can split.Hi there
Any M2 OG Manual owners here?
Would not mind ticking one of these of the list, looking at a 2017 car though it is one month shy of the cheaper tax bracket, but it has 41,000 miles, long beach blue, manual, 4 owners, competition wheels, manual seats (prefer as sit lower), has sensors/camera, NAV all I can see its missing is HK audio and the Mperf exhaust. Owner down to £27,000 currently but my offer is £26,000 and don't really want to move from that as it may just be a tick box car for me so may end up moving it on after a few months.
Any owners or previous owners who can let me know what to look out for, from my own research been told get under rear and check for diff leaks, of course check engine for any leaks also, check rear indicators work but anything else of note I should check for and any idea on value, WBAC is at £24,000 on it, so my guess is a trader is going to offer around 25k and retail it around 29k, hence me offering 26k, bit above trade but under retail and the market is currently slow.
For returning the car to factory spec, what did you expect?Gee thanks BMW
The Voice control and Navigation were factory options the car came with. According to the VIN.For returning the car to factory spec, what did you expect?
You failed to mention that part. The Voice control and Navigation were factory options the car came with. According to the VIN.
So, I expect better. They just said they ran out of time. And they will raise a ticket with BMW and I'll need to go back.
I arrived at 9AM and left at 5:30pm.
All to do a 15min module install and a 30min software flash.
I suppose I did. Sorry. Was a quick post and run. Pitting kids to bedYou failed to mention that part.

Which should not be an issue now.I suspect these things are related. This issue has been discussed at length in this thread I think.
You bought a car fully in the knowledge it had been mucked about with, and now you are complaining because you wanted it mapped by a dealer and they're trying to fix issues not caused by them without knowing the history. These aren't simple cars, they have lots of components and ECUs, plenty to go wrong. You took the risk buying it for cheap, no one else.Which should not be an issue now.
As I've forked out a fortune replacing bits.
BMW really need to do better
