BMW and M Power Owners

What would make you go for a 2019 330i with 44k miles over a 2022 320i with less than 10k?

Nothing.

25k for a 2022 3 series with low mileage in the best colour seems like a great price to me (as long as it is a good example) and I do not think that the extra power, the head up display, the better stereo and the heated steering wheel with comfort access are worth the car being a 2019 with 40k miles. The engine is the same 2 litre petrol 4 cylinder just with less power.

From what you say I think you'll get far more out of the car being much newer than you will the extras. The standard specification of the 3 series is excellent so it's not like you'll be getting a bad specification.

cazoo one almost looks too good to be true - scratches mentioned might be a concern when you get to see it first hand.
And their warranty doesn't really matter as the manufacturer warranty lasts until 3 years, at which point you can extend it via BMW.
you're sure cazoo don't talk about their 90 warranty because otherwise car may not have fulfilled requirements for it to have a valid mftr warranty ? (eg. scratches=>corrosion, or wheel scuffs=>tracking out )

If you can get the HUD it'd great.

But he won't unless he buys an older car (or an M340i).

The head up display is part of the technology package - but as part of the COVID production issues it was removed from the 3 series range part way through 2021 unless you were ordering an M Performance version.

Therefore any of the newer ones won't have it - or the upgraded stereo.

It's an excellent feature but I cannot see how, for most people, it is worth buying a 2019/2020 car just to make sure you get it when 2022 cars that otherwise meet your requirements are available.

On the manufacturer warranty Q with Cazoo ... need to avoid (wasn't it diagro's 440) where illicit s/w update for android auto caused issue for gps module (or had that broken anyway),
which was visible only when bm inspected car, voiding some bit of warranty (so car looks ok but someone dicked with s/w)

Looked like cazoo have another near identical blue w/service hist 320im 4k miles similar price https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202309131937485
I'd still test drive a non-M on your local roads, to see whether w/o adaptives it's OK for you (cousins 5 series wasn't)
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202310243294746 318i (not an M with no adaptive) w/harman bmwauc year older

Yeah, make sure it's an M Sport. The 320i mentioned previously seems a good deal, cheapest equivalent one at AUC is closer to £30k.

I would not want that - even if we ignore the engine the interior specification is noticeably worse and it doesn't have the full virtual dashboard (Which is excellent on the 3 series and standard on the M Sport).
Do you really like the full virtual dashboard? I think the BMW one is atrocious. The map is very difficult to read and honestly it adds nothing. The Audi virtual cockpit shows how it should be done.

Agreed. i find the new dashboard and even the old one lagging behind rivals. No idea why so many people use to praise the BMW system. Been lagging behind Audi/VW for years.

Test driving the same spec 3 series locally today before we buy from Cazoo, or they price match, which I doubt.
We bought our Tiguan from Cazoo. Very good experience and the car was exactly as described. We had one small issue with the spare wheel plastic nut which was broken, I bought a replacement from Amazon and Cazoo reimbursed me without any hassle.

We have since bought VW warranty on it.

I wasn't keen on the new virtual dashboard at first but I'm used to it now, it's pretty good. Not that I look at it often with HUD, mind you...

It's infinitely better than the poverty spec version found on that 318i, I think that's the point Fox was making.

It's pretty good on ID8 onwards can get the detailed map on the cluster which is a good size if you reduce the gauges to efficiency. Will also show Google Maps or Apple Maps from Android Auto/Apple Car play.

VAG clusters are still better with the full screen maps but it's lot better than the older BMW ones.

I do like it, yes. Initially I wasn't sure but the more I've used it the more I like it - the screen resolution is good, its clear and it displays everything I want in an easy to read way and looks great - I certainly don't have the issue you have with the map.

I do like the way the Audi one works better - the full screen colour map is excellent and I do wish the BMW system did that, but the Audi one is starting to date now as the screen resolution is fairly low - it surprises me that they've not really changed it at much at all since it first appeared in 2015. I think really the current Mercedes one is the best because it combines the benefits of the Audi system with a far more modern high resolution display.

Isle of Man Green is my new favourite BMW colour, there's a stunning M340i Touring on AT in Green (shame about the black wheels), BMW have simply nailed the G2x line I love them.
