BMW and M Power Owners

Since having the car it’s been fantastic I love it, However one annoyance is with the HUD and how you can’t use Waze or Google maps on it on IOS. Such a shame.

I can with mine but it's still nothing like as useful as the information you get in the head up display if you use the BMW system.

Extended my warranty with the BMW Insured Warranty. My M340i Touring is 3 years old on January 30th and to be honest, whilst I'm hopeful I never have to use the warranty, to me at least, its a no-brainer at this stage of ownership. Went for the Comprehensive one at £440 pa (£100 excess). Didn't need Roadside Assistance as I've still got RAC cover to run until the Summer. Definitely something to be said for a bit of peace of mind

I replaced the X5 with a new family car. Enter the M340D xDrive. I really wanted a touring, but simply couldn't find one with the spec I wanted. The missus didn't want a car without the 360 surround view, so it really limited the options. I'm not sure if there was a supply issue with this, but hardly any cars for sale come with the surround view.

Full spec:

2022 car, 15k miles
Comfort Pack (Electric memory seats, Heated steering wheel, Keyless entry)
Tech Pack (Harman Kardon, Gesture Control, Heads Up)
Visibility Pack (Laser Lights, Auto hi-beam)
Driving Assistant Plus (lane keep & distance control)
Parking Assistant Plus (360 cams)

I'm not a massive fan of the black wheels, or red calipers, but as a daily proposition for her it's a great car, and returns decent MPG.

I really like Waze for the live updates, traffic and alerts. The HUD is somewhat redundant when it isn’t used for Nav purposes.
I have occasionally used Apple Maps to benefit from it a couple of times but unsure how reliable traffic info is. I’ve looked into it and Waze/Google maps aren’t compatible with an IOS device but it is for Android.

I have another question maybe someone knows the answer to re my G20. Is there a way to get the front parking sensors to automatically warn me of an obstacle without me having to press the P button on the centre console first?

Good spec, on the fence about the Alpine White though

If you get close enough to an object then they’ll usually come on, alternatively there’s a button to enable the sensors on your centre console to the right of the gear stick?

It's not a great spec tbh, it's missing absolutely loads.

No comfort seats
No upgraded leather
No 360 cameras
No driving assistant professional (radar cruise with lane keep etc)
No sunroof
No paint

Comfort seats are the non-negotiable for me in a 5 series, they're properly excellent in my m550

That feels like top money for what must be one of the oldest g30s with a sub par spec, I guess you're paying for the mileage.
