Yeah, ultimately this is inferior to Merc/Audi matrix which is a shame, I'm sure I saw a 7 series at some point that had matrix on a video but can't find it anywhere anymore...
The light in that video is from an F01 LCI 7 Series (2012), so may not be current.
Audi Matrix lights are often spoken about positively but they are not all the same system. There's a Matrix HD system that is better than the one most Audi's tend to have.
The BMW adaptive light systems are just about as good as any other, IMO. The Laserlight system is a bit of a gimmick though.
Yeah fair enough. I have adaptive on my M2, and whilst excellent at beam splitting it's not quite as good as my dad's A8 with matrix. However, I am totally happy with the adaptive
And in fairness, I'd expect a 7 Series to have better lights than an A3!

There is on the LCI and no laser light option.

Well I checked the level this morning after topping up with 500ml the day before.
I had to top it up as it had dropped by about 50ml.
Drove to work and car was parked up all all day. When I left, I check the levels and it had dropped again. Topping up required about 100ml.
My non mechanic head is telling me I have a leak in the radiator or a hose somewhere. Problem is because the weather has been so wet lately, I can't even tell from looking at the driveway.
Looks like I'll be calling my local BMW garage to drop it in for investigation

Give it a sniff. Does it smell like curry? If so it's leaking on to something hot which will help you narrow it down.

Had to top up another 100ml this morning.
Took daughter to school and when I came home, left the car running, popped open the bonnet and had a good sniff and look with the torch.
Nothing.
Thing is, if it is leaking then it's probably falling and forming on the under tray, hence nothing on my driveway.
Thinking it might be the water pump now.
Anyway, booked in with an independent specialist for Thursday who will run a pressure test, remove the under tray and have a good look underneath. Have a 2l bottle of ready mixed coolant in the boot to top up as and when, which going by daily loss, should keep me going.

So my m340 is just coming up to 3 yeara old, and BMW have emailed me - YOUR CONNECTED SERVICES WILL EXPIRE SOON. Not sure why they're shouting, but anyway, I've no idea what this is, sounds like I'm about to get fleeced, what will stop working if I don't cough up?

Only just figured out the adapative laser lights on mine and gave it a good run the last couple of days. They work incredibly well when I activated it I was nervously awaiting plenty of flashing at me but it worked seamlessly.

Laser lights simple don’t activate when other cars are around.
I think he's talking about high beam assist.
Considering changing the E63S for something else but struggling to think what with. I’m thinking of revisiting BMW after having had a poor experience with a M Sport 640d GC. Nothing mechanically wrong with the car, just decided I didn’t get on with it and chopped it in within a year for an E43.
Considering looking at the F90 M5 Competition but looking at reviews, a common complaint about them is the steering and crashy ride. Does anyone have experience driving one to say how bad it is? Anything else to consider about the F90? Would be looking for a 2022/23 model.

A big appeal of the F90 is the V8, which is completely muted on all competition models if that's important to you. Everything I read about them says get the non-comp model for a variety of reasons but I don't think you'd be disappointed. There's one near me and I encounter the car on a stretch of road regularly and I may as well be in reverse, the thing is absolutely ballistic.
