I've got a 71 plate Q5 50 hybrid as a loan car while my Porsche is in for a couple of things.

It really cements how good of a car the G20 3 series is. The Q5 feels like a budget car in comparison - really quite shocked. It's only done 6k miles and it sounds like I'm driving a bag of spanners :p The hybrid system doesn't work anywhere near as well as the 330e I drove either

It did manage 43 MPG on my trip though, which is decent for a boat on wheels

All 4 arches had the rot cut out of them, with new genuine inner wings welded into place. If anyone is interested I could do a full write up, but the photo below shows the finished result, which I am extremely happy with.
looks magnificent - did they do any assessment/injection of sills ? - what kind of labour time for the arch repairs , although, I guess with sub-frame off such repairs are more efficient.

After a year of owning my E46 M3, I booked the car into Kiss Motor Works in Bristol for the RACP reinforcement. They had the car for around 6 weeks and ended up doing a full underside restoration, including all hardware powder coated and every nut and bolt zinc coated. All 4 arches had the rot cut out of them, with new genuine inner wings welded into place. If anyone is interested I could do a full write up, but the photo below shows the finished result, which I am extremely happy with.

If anyone in the Bristol area is looking for a top class BMW specialist - I highly recommend Kiss Motor Works.

Dayyum! Hot stuff.

I'm scared to even ask the cost let alone pay it!

Is this the firm that did a YouTube video on doing a similar job to a CSL? If so it is certainly a job done well!

There's a number of companies that do this strengthening work but it would always be in the back of my mind that it could fail again. It's such a shame that BMW produced such a great car that had this failure mechanism

There appears to be loads of radar sensors being stolen around London at the moment. Its only two 10mm nuts to remove it and replacement is between £2500 and £4000. Has anyone had kit 66315A336F7 fitted to make the sensor more secure? ive asked for a quote on the kit and fitting price but waiting to hear back. The kit looks easy enough to fitand is only about £30 online.

Why are two services in the history orange?
Because they were late.
I've asked about that, not been given much clear information yet.

However, if it's services such as brake fluid... I'll ignore them.

If it's oil or other more important ones, I'll be giving it a miss.

They quote "full service history"... yet based on the evidence so far.. its basically none...

Which would be a real shame, as its a very nice car... possibly let down by a lazy owner.

2020 could have been Covid delay related.

I linked to the Reddit thread a while back. You may have better luck there

If it's amber because of an optional item not being carried out, I sense a class action lawsuit here... that is outrageous that BMW have "dinged" that car forever more with an amber warning.

~26 months before a first service is rough though... I assume this isn't on 2 year service intervals at 12k/miles annum?
