BMW and M Power Owners

8k MORE!? How much is it? Don't go spending big money on ordinary versions of the E90 now, they are not worth it and will shed value very fast.

yes- its on about 55k and up for around 10.5

only disadvantage would be that ias its near to 60k - the BMW warranty for 2nd year if I wanted it after the 1st - would be un-affordable as would sky rocket to over 1k

I think it was up for around 18k - which was my budget limit (max I can justify on a car that is)

Not how it works, its based on the mileage when you take the warranty out - so lo g as you pay direct debit iirc. 18k is far too much for a 325i....its too much for an e90 full stop

ok thanks for advice on E90 pricing - getting super-hassled by wife to buy something ASAP as she part-refuses to be a passenger in my car any-more !

ref warranty - first year would come with car - so I assumed any monthly payment pricing would be when I came to end of the 1st year - ie car would be over 60k then ?

What sort of fuel do you think an m5 e60 does? Mate was telling me he did two tanks each way Sussex to Liverpool. ...

I do 2/3 of a tank Sussex to Manchester 530i e60

Thanks did you change your pedals or are they stock?

Yeah aluminium pedals that stick or screw on. Plenty around online in various styles. I got tired of faded and often dirt filled black rubber stock pedal feet and these are easier to maintain.

On a very long gentle cruise you can get 23mpg but that's about as good as it gets. My long term average is about 19.5mpg.

Anyone here fitted HID's? Looking to buy a set for my dipped projectors with a budget of around £50. Looking to get a nice white stock look, guessing 6000k 35w is what I want. Just so many around.

5500-6000k is what you want for pure white, and is what many OEMs (certainly Merc and I think BMW and Audi) have started fitting. 4300k is a touch yellow still.

Ive got 4300k bulbs in my mx5 at the moment, if they pop though I'll be putting 5000k ones in though. As Howard says, 4300k are a bit yellow still.

The difference in actual light output is negligible, certainly between 4300 and 5000k. It's the perception of contrast and seeing things up ahead that makes the difference to your brain. 5000-6000k is closer to pure daylight than 4300k so it can give a feeling of better contrast. 6000k isn't "blue chav", although may have a slightly bluer tint at a distance, that's 8000k upwards really.
