Thats a current gen, bigger and more modern car thats half the age. That really highlights how odd the pricing is on these still.
There are E92 M3's on the Cutters forum for £21k. Albeit a year older.
Is there some pseudo reason the 335i coupe is holding so well?
Would you mind linking a few examples? PH hasn't returned much.

It's a thinking mans M3 as such?
I.e. It offers terrific performance for peanuts running costs - peanuts compared to the M at least!
It seems to be the perception, but personally I don't think it is. Going from an E92 M3 to a 335i feels worlds apart in terms of performance. Also, the E92 M3 doesn't cost as much as some people seem to think. It has the same (19") size wheels and tyres as the 335i, requires servicing at the same intervals and providing you run it on a warranty, will not cost you anything in repairs.
You omit to mention that servicing on an M3 is at least twice as expensive as a 335i, and so is the cost of the warranty though.
The 335i is certainly not a direct M3 rival, but it's pretty damn close. I think the 335i prices are being kept high by the M3. Once the new M3/M4 come out and the E9x M3 prices drop, so will the 335i.

No it isn't. The last service my E92 M3 had came to £420. My Z4 35i service (same type of service I.e. Oil and filters etc) comes in at around £350-£400 depending which garage I use.
