BMW and M Power Owners

Dumb e46 question- how do I get hot air to come out the air vents? I see that I have a temperature dial in between the centre vents but I also have temperature buttons on my air con unit and neither seem to produce hot air :/

Leave the temperature buttons alone - they'll vary the vent temp automatically to achieve a comfortable temperature. If you want hot air as an over-ride, use the dial between the vents. If no hot air comes out with that set to hot, then fix your cooling system problem :p

True, I've never sold privately before and I don't really have the time, plus I'm just reluctant to go through the hassle of a private sale with the amount of idiots out there. But potentially to save a few grand it could be worth it. I guess it's something I have to think about...

I found selling my last few cars has been really easy, I have only had one time waster the rest where bought by the first person that came to look at the car.

What are you buying next?

Yeah I'm swaying more and more towards a private sale now, seems the only way to get the value I think it deserves - I've never sold privately before so will be a new adventure, I'm sure :)

The plan is to move from the 'one car does all' and have two seperate, one for fun and one for everything else. The M5 is great, I absolutely love it - but since it was stolen it's had that stigma with it that I can't shake so just want to be rid of it, shame :(

The fun choice is to have a Turbo S but they are too much for me at the moment so I'll be waiting for the gen 2 to come down to my budget in a year or so.

The sensible choice is an F11 :) although I'm begining to compromise on perhaps an F10 now as it's quite rare to find one with the options I want.

That's very nice - ultra rare, I'd have been tempted by that if I was still looking. No interior pics though, which is somewhat odd.

And strangely with E60 MV2 alloys?

Wow Gen2 turbo S would be epic. Why not rend a 997.2 S as a everyday car (unless you need the extra space).

Took my 330ci on track at Snetterton last night. Had an absolutely amazing time. The car did so, so well and much better than i expected it to. The star feature on the car had to be the Pagid RS-29 brake pads. I've never used a pad that can take so much abuse and just shrug it off. I was able to brake so late for bends and could smell everyone elses pads cooking whilst mine were fine.

A couple of photos from the day. Not bad value for money for 1.5hrs of pure track time for £69.

I might have posted in here years ago but heres my 330 Clubsport this week after having a bit of work done on it, owned now for almost 7 years.

It was bought on finance at a time when I was only working weekends :o and that finished early last year. In all the time I've had the car I've not had to spend a penny on it (bar the usual tyres, services, oil, bulbs etc) Such good engines.

Still a head turner and always nice when you see another clubsport on the road, they are so rare! Excuse the poor quality pics (taken with phone while it was getting cleaned).

I think the e46 is still one of the nicest shapes BMW ever made, especially the M3, and estoril blue the nicest colour.

Day 3 of the 335i, I had a full tank of petrol when I had it Wednesday, i've done about 110miles in it, that's a mixture of town and M4 driving, with a mixture of sensible driving (6th gear and light throttle touches) and occasional booting it (the speed and noise is addictive).

Looked down at the fuel gauge as I got into work, its used just under a quarter of a tank, which for what i've been using it for is pretty good going for a car that weighs a bit and with 300bhp, I've worked out about 31-33mpg.

I know you really shouldn't be even be thinking about fuel consumption with a car like this but I thought that's really good, and its a 56 plate car aswell.
