Maybe not an M3, into a 3xxci body maybe, just thought that would have been a good project for someone.

Though, in terms of performance between the S54 and N54, there ain't much in it?

Just had a google see if anyone has successfully put the N54 engine from a 335 into an E46. That would be awesome, done a quick google search and found a few people get half way through the project then just disappear.

Why do that and not just buy an M3?

To see if its possible to put an N54 in an E46, i've seen lots of car projects where it would just be practical to get the more power version of it in the first place.

Just thought it would be an interesting project, plus i'm bored in work and want something to read.

I've been trying to decide whether or not to fit the black performance kidney grilles to my e92 for several months and I still haven't decided... I have a Monaco blue (dark blue) SE with the aero kit so it has chrome surrounds around the windows. I might just have to buy them and see how it looks I guess.

The facelift rear lights look nice, will definitely be considering those.

Scratch... If I did a lil road trip down to Southampton with some facelift rear lights would you be willing to programme them for me? I'll buy you a pint or two...

Sure not a problem buddy. I'm certainly no expert, and the FRM modules can differ between cars, but I'm more than happy to give it a go.

I'll always stand by my thoughts from eons back that halos/dipped beam sidelights should be as originally designed, yellow and not white because it makes the HIDs look so much nicer and sets off the front.

That's just my poor photo blowing the brightness out of proportion. There's plenty of definition between the angel eyes and xenons in reality.

Colour coded grilles are by far the best. Black grilles only work on some colours.

Did you get a quote from the sales manager (Tony Lewis) at Berry Heathrow? If you haven't, you really should because he does very good deals on those cars.

yes im buying via Tony as I saw some good deals on the bmw forums.

Going to test drive the demo car on Thursday so fingers crossed.

Does it have the M Performance exhaust fitted? I spoke to him the other day and he said that I should take the car out so that I can experience the exhaust. I'm not sure if he's fitted it yet though.
