BMW and M Power Owners

Im looking at a 2006 (reg end of Jan 07) 335i SE coupe, sub 60k miles for £13k? Has good spec. How does the price sound?

Its from a dealer (not BMW). I can probably get for circa £11.5 - 12k after a p/x.
History is apparently excellent and I plan to take a look on Thursday. Option wise, its got rear sunblind, high beam assist, pro nav, bluetooth, MP3, hi-fi logic 7 pro speakers, xenons to list main options

Would this be a foolish purchase at this price point? I Appreciate its hard to judge from the above but just after ball park opinions!

Also, if a BMW warranty is set up on DD, am I correct in thinking the price will never go up regardless of mileage / age etc?

Thanks

Does it not show as edited after someone has viewed a post on here? I know whenever I have edited a post after it's been viewed, it shows as edited.

Could be wrong though.

That's way too expensive and it sounds like you probably already know it.

It's an 8 year old SE; it might have a good spec but the SE doesn't hold its value like the M Sport does. Resale is a bit harder on the earlier cars as well as they're £400+ tax.

On the warranty, you're correct in that the price *shouldn't* go up when paying monthly. That's certainly been the case up until now but Mondial have apparently hinted that it might change in the future.

The only thing M Sport adds on a 335 coupe is stick on tat, wheels and black headlining. Somewhat pointless spending loads more on one as they are otherwise the same. Though it sounds like a lot for an 8 year old car I agree.

E46 not e92, dunno if it was edited

£4.5k+ and a lot of patience is the short answer

I did edit it, bit about 10 seconds after I posted. I have no idea how it took so long before appearing!

Cheers, I was guessing around about that much as I have been watching some go on eBay, but thought I'd ask.
I was looking at an Estoril Blue facelift (sorry Fox :P) convertible and thinking of a hardtop, but keep being drawn back to a standard Coupe.

In your opinion then would circa 10.5 be more realistic or is this still over the odds? For a car that age?

Thanks

stick on tat?

Quick question; I bought my '07 325i in May this year. The MOT is due in November (this is shown in the Service info on iDrive), but it's saying an oil change isn't required until 09/2015 (12,000mls). Does this seem right?

I think Stick on tat in the sense that in the 25/30, the M Sport version gets uprated suspension, whereas in the 35 it is purely cosmetic differences. Fox will know for sure.

quite possible, its mileage/ driving style dependant, got my 330d oil serviced last may (2013) its showing may 2015 still or another 8k

Ah OK. I need to read up on CBS. Apologies.

no apologies needed :) you'll probably find as a general rule (again dependant on mileage etc) that one year will be oil change next year will be brake fluid change and so on, at least that's what its been with mine

It won't show edited if you edit quickly after posting, if you leave it a minute or so it'll say edited. :)

My point is that had the car been an M Sport then it would probably have been worth the asking price, but as it's an SE (which yes I appreciate is mechanically identical to the M Sport on the 335) the asking price is too high.

My friend has an e39 m5. Failed to start today, fuel pump doesn't prime.

Fuse and relay are OK. Tried bridging the connector for it, no life. So it points to a knackered fuel pump. It's been playing up for a couple of weeks, he'd assumed it was the fuel pump before today anyway.

So, where to buy a new fuel pump from? Any decent go-to sites for BMW bits?

Cheers
