BMW and M Power Owners

Thanks for the helpful info, My budget puts me at 58-09 plates so I'll keep a good eye out.

If its listed as having DAB and has the full silver knob like this I can assume it has the updated iDrive?

Thanks again! :)

Edit: Oh maybe not, That's a 08 plate, I'm confused :D

Easiest way is to look at the controller. If it's just 1/2 buttons, it's the older iDrive. If it's got the "hot keys" (7 buttons), it's the superior CIC iDrive.

And if you cant see the controller, just look at the dash, a Pro nav fitted car will have 1 disc slot if it's CIC and 2 if it's the older CCC.

Sorry dude :( You thought that you'd found the perfect car (for now).

Yep, which puts me in quite an odd situation (at least for me) where I don't know exactly what I want when I walk in to a dealer having spent months driving and deciding before hand.

Tomorrow going to have a play with a 335/435i or d and a 640d Coupe or Cabro as the M235i is going...

640 for me, stunning cars and great looking in Coupe form. I know you disagreed when I pointed this out when you got the M235i but I think the interior is massively better, too. Infact it's just a better car IMHO. Could consider a 640i but hard to find sadly.

Oh I agree its better, just not massively so, and having spent a considerable length of time in one over the last few weeks I'd stand by that statement.

The dealer has, at least on their website, listed a 650i and I might try to twist their arm into that as part of the "goodwill" gesture, not holding my breathe but as this is both them and BMW making up for a truly appalling experience I "might" get something out of them.

Did drive a 335d X Drive earlier and I don't know what the dealer I test drove the 435d at had done to it when I test it back to back with the M235i but this drove so differently. If I can't get anywhere on the 6 series route I'll probably be trying to get into a well spec'd x35d instead.
