I'm going to look at this tomorrow. I've spoken to the seller, He wants around 20k 'buy it now' If all goes well I think I'll offer maybe 18.5 there and then. Seem about right?
I did a HPI check and all fine except a typo..

I'll be getting a warranty from BMW if I purchase but is there anything I should look out for?

Did you ask him what his reserve price was? £18.5k is an ok price to pay, personally I'd offer £18k and not go higher.

Just seen my old car up for sale!
http://usedcars.sunningdalebmw.co.u...55922-604806623-3497133.aspx?srcmdc=se_ce_re_

Sold it for £17.5k so that is serious mark up!

When I looked to sell my M3 back to the supplying dealer their specialist M buyer told me they like to have about 4k in each car, to sort the jobs out.

Despite me pointing out to him no jobs needing doing and it was still in warranty with 2 years service package remaining his offer didn't increase. Interestingly WBAC final offer was £2500 more than the BMW dealer and I got £3400 more on px (I know not a comparison as this wasn't a cash offer)

Hi guys, I'm looking to sell my Audi in March and have been debating for some time what to get next. I've narrowed my choice down to either an Audi RS3 or a BMW M135i. The Audi would be on a 12 plate and the BMW on a 14.

I was wondering if any of you guys had ever owned a M135i and if so what were your honest opinions? I've never owned a BMW a but it looks a fantastic little hot hatch for the money it costs. Also what options would you recommend looking for when buying second hand?

I've watched reviews etc but would prefer some genuine consumer reviews. Thanks in advance. :)

Whilst I don't own one, I have done a good few thousand miles in one really will reverberate what reviews bang on about. It really is a sublime all rounder. Immensely capable in not only straight line speed but also will provide more than a few smiles when just going for a hoon.

I recently had the chance to drive a Golf R to compare with the 1 series and whilst it was great fun (certainly felt easier to go quicker point to point), when you aren't on a hoon the BMW felt just that much better with that lovely smooth 3ltr 6 pot. Actually it still astonishes me how even in 6th gear cruising at very low speed isn't an issue and you never feel like there is any turbo lag.

The short list of negatives for me would be that the interior doesn't feel like it belongs to a car that is worth over £30k. I still don't like the steering wheel, it's like holding one of the floaty things at the local swimming pool and probably not a negative and knit picking here, after driving the Golf R that felt pretty aggressive and just wanted to be nailed everywhere, even in attack mode on the M135i it lacks a bit of agression, maybe because the gears feel quite long? Again, the auto-box probably sorts this out nicely :)

Options wise, more experienced BMW owners will have to pitch in here as the one we have is the bog standard spec with a manual gearbox (you guessed it, lease deal!). If it was a purchase from new I'd love to have the 8 speed auto and pro nav.

The Audi RS3 is a terrible proposition IMHO. For a start it is the 2003 model Audi A3 so it's an absolutely ancient car and it very much feels it inside. The M135i, by contrast, is in design terms also 10 years newer and again, you can tell once you get inside. Far more up to date electronics, infotainment, etc.

A joke of a car all round IMHO, they should have released it 10 years ago when that generation of A3 was decent.

What's the best coolant to top up a 330d with?

The BMW stuff isn't expensive and avoids potentially mixing with the wrong stuff.

If it needs a topup though, it sounds like there is something wrong somewhere. You should not need to top coolant up. It is a sealed system.

Now you can see why I wanted to get it detailed sooner rather than later!

OK thanks. I need to top it up as the light came on and the level is low. I'll monitor it after topping it up.

I've now owned my 328i for 5 very enjoyable days. I just did the golf tee mod and it seems to have made a nice difference around the 2k RPM mark. Next job is to sort the alignment out.

There's a new RS3 out later this year. I'd wait till then, the only thing that put me off the first RS3 is that is was an outgoing model. The engine and gearbox combo however is one of the best.

I give you another 5 days before you reverse it - though maybe the 4 cylinder will be less droney than a 6
