BMW and M Power Owners

Does anyone know what I need to get Bluetooth enabled for using the telephone feature?

I have the sharkfin aerial, no satnav, what's next? Is it a matter of enabling it?

2007 E92.

Phoning them is the best way as they will give you an accurate price. Doesnt take long.

FWIW, a monthly BMW Insured Warranty fully comp with no excess per month on a car thats done between 50-59k miles will cost you ~£113 a month, including BMW emergency breakdown cover. It will almost double once you go over 60k miles.

Not too bad then, am I right in thinking that if I took out a pay monthly warranty below 60,000 miles then I would keep paying the lower rate even if it rolled past 60,000?

Either way it was MUCH cheaper than the quote I got from Mercedes.

The BMW warranty saved my bacon about 5 times in the first 12 months of E92 M3 owner ship. Pressure hoses, wiring loom ... the works - all needed replacing. Phew.

They even honoured the warranty when i brought the car in to have it's throttle actuators replaced (car decided to go in limp mode half way through a 100 mile journey when they died) on the day the warranty expired, which they didn't even have to do as the car wasn't booked in till the day afterwards.

... and that was with a nice Eisenmann race exhaust fitted.

If its fitted, its enabled.

If you don't have it, you need to get it fitted. About 400 quid.

Looks like the shark fin aerial I have may be cosmetics only then.

I don't have the telephone option when hitting 'Menu' on the BMW Professional Radio, nor do I have the SOS button on my roof liner.

Picked her up on Sunday, 2007 320i 40k miles.

I found my 100bhp Golf more than adequate tbh, so despite it only being a 2.0l, it's a decent upgrade for me. :)

What's a typical insp. 2 cost for an E39 530i Sport? I ask as Munich Legends quoted 'around £360'. This seems way too high for a specialist with not the best reputation in the world.

Cheers, thought it was about the same as BMW. Crazy that they charge so much really. I know I'd rather go to BMW themselves than an indy that charges the same, regardless of their reputation.

Managed to get some pictures of the track car. Its all road legal just need some minor things adjusting when MOT time comes again.

Started off as a 318is, converted to 328i Engine and Box, Completely stripped out interior with just the dash and door cards remaining from original. M3 EVO Rear Diff, Coilovers and a full OMP rollcage. I fitted bucket seats on my own custom runners so I can adjust them back and forth (new MOT laws!). One seat is a Sparco Sprint and drivers seat is a Corbeau Revolution.

Car still needs loads of work, going to order a full polybush kit when funds allow and roll-cage needs to come back out for painting. Already done one track day so far and performed flawlessly! Insurance is a bit high considering age and NCB but mods are declared so understandable!

Yes I know I should have just started off with a 328!
