BMW and M Power Owners

The new steering wheel and fat idrive controller show it to be an LCI as I said earlier.

I wouldn't mind a 6 disc changer. Not completely worthless really. To me at least. Although it is obviously far from a deal breaker, and not something I would pay more for. Still nice to have.

Is it really that huge a premium for being so low miles?

What use is the changer? put your 6 cds in the CD player and it'll rip them to the hard drive for you.

RightO, unplugged the MAF and it started running fine again, which is excellent as with my foot flat to the floor it wouldn't go above 1500rpm.

Upon closer inspection I've found a 5mm hole in the intake boot where a small hose connects, would this have caused such severe issues?

It wouldn't normally have such an extreme effect, but you've got somewhere to start

You are, of course, only considering CD's there. And I agree in that respect. In fact, I found it immensley handy I could transfer my USB stick onto the HDD too, so I have a massive collection of well ripped music on my HDD in the car.

However, it is a DVD changer, and I would find that useful for filling up with DVD's. Not for me, as I'm obviously driving. But for the kids or the wife. Usually the kids though. Firing the DVD's in the changer would be handy. To me at least.

And yes, assuming you had video in motion coded to the car. But even if not, I have found myself in the car, sitting parked, with the kids, and wished I had more than just the Bob The Builder DVD with me.

Agreed, but part of the issue is that the chemicals in the BMW fluid appear to cause issues with the chemicals in many of the fluids people use. I recently had clogged washer jets, which upon inspection were caused by a luminous blue jelly - it didn't seem biological or natural at all!

You could have stumbled onto a new type of fuel, next time dilute the substance into the petrol diesel tank and observe any changes :D

AUC dealer is not willing to replace the tyres each at 4mm, which is right on their BMW Approved threshold  How many miles can I expect to get out of these before they need changing? Annoying thing is if it was a Sytner dealership I know they'd change them without question.

Does anyone know a good place to tap into for hard wiring a dash cam in an e60?
I poked around in the glove compartment fuse box with a multimeter but all the fuses seem to be permanently live and not ignition switchable?

Walk away then. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Presumably on a relatively new X3, they would be 18" at the minimum (granted I guess some may have 17's). That's probably in excess of a further £800 not too far down the road. I personally wouldn't entertain the vehicle without new tyres when the current ones are at the AUC threshold.

Okay, so I've plugged in (thanks pepsilol) and have the following error codes -

228 lambda control tolerance bank 2 to big

227 lambda control tolerance bank 1 to big

123 activate grid-controlled cooling

9 signal airflow meter

203 lambda control Bank 1 control block

Any ideas which of these would cause the problems I'm having?

Those codes are for an air leak. Usually on the intake boot elbow.

Yep, that's exactly where the hole is. Got a new one on order and have just unplugged the maf for now, bit cheaper than it could have been!

Yes 100% that was your issue.

When fitting it go slow when tightening up jubilee clamps. If you go fast the hose sometimes slips and you tighten it with the hose wonky which lets air in. Make sure it's seated.

My 2000 e46 coupe cruise has stopped working any ideas, it's not the fuse checked that

Check out the brake light switch and the wheel speed sensors ,both can cause it to play silly buggers.

The cruise doesn't work on my e39 530i but given it worked perfectly on my old 528i but I never used it, I've not bothered to investigate as to why it's dead in the 530.

Picked myself up an incredibly clean 328i e36 today. :) FSH, 130k on the clock which isn't bad for a 19 year old car, pulls really well.

Absolutely in love with it, plan to put some contours/RC041's on it, remove the front yellow tint and give her a good polish and I'll be dead happy. :)

Love this, doesn't even look rusty at the back

With BMW idrive, is there anyway to have my music automatically play as "random" instead of having to activate each time? Minor annoyance but would be nice.
