BMW and M Power Owners

Nice although what's with those fan blade alloys! Do the wheels flip downwards so the car can take off? :p

I think it needs to sit a little lower personally, not much though, heres a few more on flat ground so easier to see it. :) Eagle eyed people will notice no side strips on the drivers side, I did a reaaally deep detail and pretty much all the clips snapped on that side :p so had to order some in

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I keep pining after a set of splitters and the spoiler, but at nearly £1k for some stick on tat it's been quite hard to justify. Hell even if the entire set was £500 I'd struggle to get my wallet out.

Just shy of £500 for carbon splitters and spoiler from Teddy at ssdd motorsport (couldn't justify twice the price for oem). They are 1x1 carbon weave so match the roof which is what I was looking for and are good quality. If I make it down to the Southern meet you can take a look then.

Chaps,

In the process of looking for a new motor. Was going to buy a brand new S3 or Golf R but having driven my mates M135i, I am converted. Having a little trawl online and have found a few that have caught my eye. Specifically I am after a 5 door, automatic. Is there anything to look out for specifically or any must have options?

I really regret moving my e36 on

Was still pretty comparable to most other cars I've owned in terms of power, it handled well yet rode pretty acceptably and was reasonable on fuel

It was already worth next to nothing, but still looked good and outside of needing looking after for the usual suspension gubbins etc it felt like an absolutely solid car. Could never bring myself to actually buy one again but wish I still had it

They hold up incredibly well considering how old they are now, it's been my favourite car I've owned so far.

Keep them in good nick and they're still worth a good amount of money, only rising too as little boys drift them into walls :)

I have a e36 328 convertible too but that's a project that needs some work.

After this I will move to an e30, huge soft spot.

One of my friends got a mint, rust free E36 328 saloon with every option (even an extremely early sat nav with no screen, just voice commands). He only paid £350 for it as it needed a new alternator, ran it for a few months, got bored of it and sold it for £900. I drove it a few times and it was really nice to drive: wish I'd bought it off him as you just don't see E36s like that for sensible money now.

The only ones really worth something are clean 328 sports and M3 though, the rest are still just cheap bangers.
I do regret wrecking my mint PFL sport individual, but hey ho, I guess I was a 'little boy' drifting it into a wall huh. I guess it takes a real man to park his car and clean it ;)

Why did you say they were M Performance if they are not? :p

I meant style rather than being a completely aftermarket look which is what your original post seemed to be implying.
