BMW and M Power Owners

Ah that's annoying. I have the programmable buttons setup but it's just so much easier using that flywheel it's a shame you can't use it to select your programmed stations.

Gotta love the BMW 3.0 Twin Power diesel 309 BHP 465 lbft, goes like a very goey thing and has done this or there abouts on every mid/long trip I've done in the last month (about 2.5-3k)...

Last time I filled up I had a predicted range of over 700 miles.

I do like the 640d quite a lot, the build quality may have been a little below what I'd expect but its comfy, quick, has an immense sound system and it looks great. Got parking it sorted in the flat car park now, which involves reversing in to the garage, and I'm still scared of scraping the wheels or the nose (because its that bloody long) but with the surround view it makes life much easier.

Christ technology had come a long way.
My 1.9 PD TDI Passat just averaged 50mpg driving down from Norway at the speed limit (120km/h thru Germany)!

Mind you, probably would've done 60 had I driven at 100km/h, but I would've lost the will to live :p

I know this is for owners, but I've been getting mails from all the lease companies stating 420 M-Sports - coupe, gran, cabriolet - are all much cheaper by at least £50pm if anyone is interested.

Please don't ruin that lovely M3 with random ebay stick on stuff. It looks lovely as it is!

Horses for courses Fox, they're the M performance carbon fibre corner splitters, spoiler and grilles, unless you hate the M performance look? Fair enough I guess but I personally like it.

All the cars I've seen recently with all the carbon m performance bits have been 4 pot diesels.

20 inch alloys, spoiler, carbon bits and oh..... teeny tiny brakes.

So the guy posted pics, front bumper can do with a respray, but there's a small dent on both doors which is slightly putting me off, I'll post the pics when I'm on PC, how much are small dent removals?

Picking up some carbon corner splitters for the m3 today along with a few other gubbins. :D

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I keep pining after a set of splitters and the spoiler, but at nearly £1k for some stick on tat it's been quite hard to justify. Hell even if the entire set was £500 I'd struggle to get my wallet out.

I've been debating the plate delete a lot recently and changed it back to the plate but it kept falling off so that's the only reason it's back like that, need a new plate.

M3 mesh is on the way :)

It obviously looks better without a plate so I can see the idea but the legal requirement to have one that ends up forcing you to stick it in the window makes it look worse than having the plate. Move to Georgia, US, or put the plate back on :p

Looks in pretty good nick  agreed re: plate, was probably 'cool' for about 5 minutes when I was 17 yrs old but after that it just looks a bit silly, screams 'trying too hard' :p
