BMW and M Power Owners

Probably the only alloy style in the current 3 series range that looks very nice to my eyes. Nicely finished in shadow chrome too.

yeah it's a lease car as my commute racks up the miles no point buying one to lose loads of money due to mileage and repair bills, this way everything is paid for, and i have no worries, i don't even have to pay for the tyres hehe

they are one of the few options i could squeeze in :D

alloys, black glass and an auto box is it! apart from that it is standard M Sport spec it's an amazing car and im looking forward to my commute now instead of dreading it

a 207 GTI was the old car, i've never had a diesel before so i was quite worried about it, but driving it about yesterday for hours and hours you really wouldn't know its a diesel, i have yet to start it from cold though as that is when people say it's a bit rough.

i was expecting it to be a lot louder but you can only really hear it with the door open so im impressed on that front so far.

Performance wise i'm impressed the auto box changes gear so smoothly and fast you barely notice them, it pulls and pulls i can see the 330d being a beast and i thought it'd be slow coming from my GTI but it actually feels faster!

comfort wise it's lovely even with the M sport suspension and 19inch rims but then im used to the rock hard ride of the GTI that breaks your spine over potholes lol

and the look of it well i've never noticed so many people staring at my car before it's a real head turner it's all subjective though but i think it's gorgeous inside and out

it's the first time i've ever had a brand new car so im caught up in all the excitement of it but im chuffed to bits and even the wife and daughter are impressed and that in itself says a lot.

i might do a comparison video for youtube after i've had it a few weeks, "from Boy Racer to Commuter" i'll call it, as i've owned nothing but Hot Hatches over the years, My daughter helped me choose this car as she's getting quite tall and hates squeezing into the back of a hot hatch, we all have to grow up one day i suppose at least im doing it in style hehe

Very nice car ImMrChris. Love the front end of the new 3 series. Get some more pics of the inside etc if you can. Enjoy!

So true. I've been toying with the idea of a reasonable spec E90 LCI but spending £10-15K on such an old car just doesn't feel right. Might need to up my budget and save for an F30. :)

Thanks ADT, i was going to grab some pictures with the DSLR today but it's been raining, as soon as the sun is out i'll clean her up and take some shots :D

i can't speak for the older BMW's except an old bosses E30 325i M sport back in the day ( the day i drove that was the day i promised myself i'd have a new bmw one day a looooong time ago ) but i feel like im driving a spacehip with all the mod cons in it you wouldn't be dissapointed especially one with a 6 pot petrol that'd be unreal

Surely you realise that you are still paying for the deprecation due to your high miles, just every month in the lease cost. And you do have to pay for tyres, the expected tyre usage is again factored into your lease payments.

Well, here is my new toy.

BMW e91 330d Touring M Sport, 44,000 on the clock, 1 owner, 2005.

In very good condition for it's age. I'm picking it up next weekend as the battery had a black indicator not green so asked that it's changed out for a new one and that it gets a new MOT.

Drove very well, I didn't expect to like it as much as the other 330i I had for a short time, but I like it, if not more! The torque is great, can't wait to get it mapped.

First port of call will to be to check swirl flaps and likely remove them and put blanks in place instead. Read some nightmare stories about them on bimmerfest. And also getting rid of those NASTY halogen bulbs for the angel lights and fitting H8 LED's instead.

Don't replace the angel eye bulbs with LEDs! It will just cheapen the look. The Xenons stand out and are dominant against the amber angel eyes. It enhances the look IMO, indicator bulbs on the other hand always look smarter as LEDs.

Personally, I much prefer the white look of the H8's, I don't feel it cheapens it. Adds to it.

Sorry but you're both wrong, LED angel eyes on the pre-LCI E9x look absolutely ****. The halos on them aren't designed for LEDs so the light isn't evenly distributed (admittedly it isn't on the standard halogen bulbs either) and it just looks chav. The orange from the halogen is slightly more aggressive and looks infinitely better. Also the LEDs give out far too much (harsh) light, they're side lights, not main beams, they should complement the xenon's, not be "OMG M8 GOT LED ANGELZ INNIT".
