BMW and M Power Owners

In fairness bluetooth audio is a faff IMO, you have to mess around with your phone for what seems like an eternity and by the time you have the track you wanted, you've nearly crashed the car 10 times.

On the topic of the 3'er Xdrive, what is the point? The 2WD version also has great handling and traction.

You just select the track through iDrive as you would any other music source available in the car.

I do generally not see the fascination though - USB works fine.

It's there for all the 'OMGERD 4 YEARS AGO IT SNOWED, SO NOW WE OBVIOUSLY LIVE IN CANADA' crowd who forget what England is really like in the winter.

Thought the GTS looked great.

Speaking of Z4, I achieved this after a 60 mile drive, This painful processed contained careful and strategic driving, luck with traffic and traffic lights and a replacement for my lead shoes with fluffy slippers.

Not how a 23 year old should be driving a 3L Z4 xD

Your consumption 2 is better than my consumption if I reset it at 70 and don't touch the pedal, then stop looking when the car comes to a stop :P

17" wheels also improved the car considerably given the awful quality of the roads and the incredibly harsh suspension. Still, got some KW V3s to go on at the end of the month so will be interesting to see the difference.

I love my 19" CSL style wheels :(

That said i don't think the car is uncomfortable at all, Yes the suspension is "firm" but its not that bad at all, I've taken this thing on long 100+ mile trips and still had a fully functional spine.

broke my locking wheel nut. called service department but they were shut. anyone know roughly what it will cost for a new one?

Oh it's not bad at higher speeds, but lowish speeds (<40 mph - basically B-road speed) it can get really harsh. The car itself is comfortable enough and fine on motorways etc, but I wouldn't really describe it as compliant.

CSLs do look nice (and best in a 19" IMO), but with so little tyre I'd always be worried about damaging the wheels.

Watch out for them kerbs then :P

Bosch 5.7 ABS ECU/Module refurbishment.
Who did you use and at what cost?

Or did you opt to replace with a brand new item?

i need a new battery for my 07 330i, BMW want £198!

Can anyone recommend one? If i swap it myself will there be any issues with anything?

You can replace the battery yourself, ideally the new one should be registered to the car though so the car knows a new has been fitted and will adjust the charging parameters to match.
Also if you change battery capacity or switch from lead acid to AGM you need register these changes too.

What sort of MPG would you guys expect a new facelift 118i to achieve?

I have a black box fitted therefore I've not been heavy with the gas pedal sticking exactly to the limit and done around 1,800 miles (so I imagine the engine has been ran-in if modern cars need running in anymore?) - I only achieve 35 MPG which seems pretty dire I was expecting at least 40mpg...

as others have said not keen on the m4 gts cant they just make the e46 csl with a super charged v8 from the e92 :( now that would be epic!

I've done 40k miles in my F20 118i and my average MPG for that distance is 43.4. I've done trips where I've got 62mpg+ and other trips where I've got in the low 20's.
So drive by breathing on the gas pedal and you'll use no petrol, drive by stamping on it and you will :)
