BMW and M Power Owners

Hi All,

Got a query about my e46 328i, when going from 1.5-2k rpm and back down again there is a sort of hissing/gurgling sound, is it some sort of valve maybe? Anyone with the same engine have the same noise?

So far I've had to replace a parking sensor and the exhaust cam sensor, and tonight I'm replacing the final stage blower resistor. My parents had zero problems for about 5 years, and now I'm getting them! Still, nothing too bad. :)

isnt M50 the code for the ridiculous engine it has? could do with more M badges and i particularly love the steering wheel cover. i can see the driver looking down at that thinking "mmm just the machine"

wonder if he has to report his mental disability to the DVLA?

That advert is making my head hurt. "All work carried out buy (sic) BMW". Have you seen the exhaust? It's mental, just the whole thing.

Poor car, i bet the day it left the factory it never suspected for one second it'd look like that and be owned by an absolute moron.

Anyone got any ideas about this? Is there a valve that moves at around that rpm? It's sort of what it sounds like..

I see loads of them! Wait....maybe they were E90 LCI's. Afterall, they do look almost identical to each other from the front wheel back.
 
Can someone tell me what the qualifying criteria is to get the BMW warranty and i believe lower servicing costs? Sure i read something about cheaper servicing although probably mistaken.
 
There is no qualifying criteria for the warranty - any BMW is eligiable for at least one tier of cover.

Comprehensive and Named Component require under 100k miles and its significantly cheaper if its under 60k miles.

Thanks Fox, was hoping you were online. Just over the lower limit at 63000. Do you have a rough estimate on cost of the warranty?

That rather depends if its a 760iL or a 116i!

63k would annoy me, a 59k mile car would be no more expensive to buy but far cheaper to warrant.
