BMW and M Power Owners

That awkward moment when your own car tells you to drive more moderately ¬_¬ excuse the quality of thephoto the warning only stays on for a few seconds so was rushing to take it :p

You're doing something wrong. The warning message I got on Sunday was that I was going too fast. :p

I hit resume from about 30 (cruise set to 75) on a wet, curved slip road and it must have kicked dsc in, and when dsc is called into work whilst cruise is on it gives you that warning

Trying to get wheels replaced under warranty, that weren't there when the car was purchased!?!?

Incredible.

Your lack of reading skills. Incredible.

I wasn't attempting to get them replaced under warranty as they are specifically excluded from the warranty. I was trying to get them replaced under goodwill, which thousands of BMW owners have successfully done.

They didn't mind that they weren't from the factory anyway, but then they wanted me to provide them with a receipt for them.

Nowhere better to put this but I am miffed. My X5 has just been detailed (haven't had it long and was not too happy with dealership clean) and I am in Kenya and it will probably be all smegged up by the kids and weather by the time I get back. Booked it in weeks ago and then my trip changed. Grrrr

Got my usual sales email from the local dealer, a list of 16 cars -

11 Diesels of which -

6 x 20d
3 x 18d
1 x 30d
1 x 40d

5 Petrols

of which

2 x 16i
1 x 20i
1 x 30i
1 x m3

I dread to think how few decent petrols will be left by the time they get within my price range. :(

That M135i looks absolutely awesome.

Isn't the quarter mile time around 12 seconds? That is outrageous.

Seems like an absolute bargain at £30k, I reckon they'll hold their value very well indeed. Would be interesting to see what MPG they can do, 37mpg for the autobox seems pretty optimistic.

My friend has one on order, I am looking forward to borrowing it ! The 30k price is a bit miss leading by the time you add a few options it is not far off 35k. I am curious to what price Audi are going to charge for the new S3 they can't really price it much higher.

Yes slow. To be honest though, It just took a while to get use to the power delivery. Looked down at the speedo on the way home and was suprised at how rapid i was going. Car is very quiet compared to the Focus and just didnt seem that quick.
Disabling DTC makes it more fun and having a JB4 fitted in the next couple of weeks should make it a whole lot more interesting.

The fact the standard car is so well equipped too.

Looks like 35k gets you Pro Nav, HK audio, 5 doors and an Auto gear box.

Still an absolute steal. It'll be really interesting to see how these hold their value because quite frankly there is no other car of the performance/quality offered for the same price.

I just spec'd one up and snip under 36k, unless I am reading it wrong you need to pay for auto wipers and lights aswell as a small fortune for front and back parking sensors. Also £515 for any colour other than white, looks very good in Estoril Blue which would be my choice

I forgot about the Estorill blue. I don't know why anyone would buy one in another colour, it's gorgeous and suits the car perfectly. Still though, £36k for that package is very good value. (Relative to what is on offer that is)

I'm hoping to buy one myself but that depends on how my circumstances change in the next 2 months.

There is a lot included for your £30k. The leather, xenons and M brakes are worth £2.5k. Auto wipers only costs about £125, spec driver and interior comfort packs gives you parking sensors and other nice kit.
