BMW and M Power Owners

Almost looks like an S2000 on that side profile.

Wonder if they'll do a Z5M, could be tempted to give it a try after mine if they did but I guess it's unlikely.

I don't like the massive wing mirrors, though this is par for the course on most cars these days :/
 
Some scum pulled the passenger side headlight washer out on my Z4 yesterday while I was in work, despite the car being parked directly outside a police station.

Small thing but still gutted that someone took the time to vandalise my car.

Thanks, Yes, I thought it looked good too. Only thing I wish it had is anthracite trim and a pan sunroof. Can't have it all! Waited three months for this example to come up.

Odd thing to vandalise, you realise they are notorious for popping off on their own due to frozen pipes.

That's something I didn't know, but it was there the morning I left my car when I went into work, I always triple check my car before I leave it, I'm super OCD about leaving my car in car parks or even my own drive, It was 100% there, I would have noticed a huge hole on the bumper as I check it, I definitely saw the massive hole as I approached the car from a distance.

I hope so, could be a future replacement for mine in many years/lotto win time.

Has the cover completely gone? Someone might have nicked yours to replace theirs.

It does seem that way but manufacturers want them as small as possible it is purely the legal obligations that keep them the size they are. If camera systems can be proveno reliable they wI'll get rid of wing mirrors where cost appropriate :)

The pump is a ~£1000 job so not the end of the world but bear it in mind when haggling. I'd try to buy it at a price that reflects the worst case (clutch and/or pump) and then have it all fully reset and see what's what. Could be nothing.

And the rest! BMW have recently increased the price of the SMG pump. It's now £2500 for the part alone.

However that is a little bit like me quoting that it would cost around £10000 to overhaul the ABC system in my SL. (As it genuinely would at a Mercedes workshop, my last one came with an ABC invoice in one hit at £8000).

In reality these are old cars, with plenty of used/non OEM/re manufactured/user repairable etc parts available. You end up spending very little fixing them.
