BMW and M Power Owners

Looks decent because it's white but doesn't have black wheels!

This was a big part of the bargaining with the Mrs, she uses it sometimes to ferry work colleagues around, so nothing to 'rude' was allowed, that firmly ruled out the matte silver / black rimmed comp pack M3 :p

Although I'm in the process of booking it in for the exhaust mod.. not sure how I'm going to slip that one past her, perhaps I'll say it's mainly to make it more economical / environmentally friendly :D

Thought I'd experience a V8 before they all but went extinct

Lovely that! :)

I'm thinking similar things, albeit an e38 V12, 51 plate, 140k miles, three owners, guy wants my car plus £1k, sorely tempted but think I'll keep my 530, the 38 is averaging 13mpg which makes mine seem quite frugal! :D

I'm yet to own a V8 or V12, as time goes by I'm beginning to doubt I ever will. :/

Car ran like toss this morning on start up, shaking and spluttering for a few min then ran fine once warmed up. Just had diagnostics on it and its thrown a Nox sensor code along with combustion misfire on cylinder 3 and 6.

To sort of cut out faulty injectors we deactivated each injector 1 by 1 and this all went ok.

Could a faulty NoX sensor cause misfires and a ****** start up from cold? What are the symptoms of a faulty NoX? Not too clued up with this VAG stuff, guessing it has something to with the fuelling though.

It'll be an N53 engine and they are notorious for injection/misfire issues. Could be any number of things, you really need to get BMW specific diag equipment on it.

VW AG, whatever. People quite often refer to it as the VW Audi Group and I've had no cause to question it because the abbreviation fits.

They refer to it as such because they are mistaken. It's Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, which is the equivalent of say, Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC.

Bugger nose i thought it meant ****** rusty old cars with stupid wheel camber at one point lol.

Fox, gunna have to have you on speed dial. The machine used was from a BMW specialist, lad told me to start with the Coil packs and then the sensor (Just had the plugs changed on the major service)

Just wondering if anyone has ever had issues with the NoX sensor and what the symptoms was before i start throwing cash about.

Thought I'd experience a V8 before they all but went extinct, it's fairly decent so far, nice step up from a 2.2ltr diesel...

Lovely car - agreed on the exhaust mod, I can vouch Vox's car sounds the ****.

I used similar logic for changing from my Z4 to this:

Dealer photos at the mo' but the subtle modding is well under way. Have fitted a Dynavin N6, replaced the interior bulbs with LEDs, and wrapped the slightly worn grey aluminium effect interior trim with gloss black, though I've got a new (used) set of trim coming which I'll be painting. After that, new number plates as it could use a fresh set, and it'll look and feel just right.

Except that I need it to be louder - it's all stock at the moment so I can't hear that V8 as I'd like. Thinking Supersprint X Pipe and back boxes but there's a massive range of different exahusts out there, so Youtube it is for the moment...

Noob, you don't need to use stealer pics! :p
