Also, 630i or 650i?

That is the question.

Sounds like the heavier 650i has noticeably worse handling but a 4.8L V8 is not to be sniffed at...

M5 images not loading :( had tissue and lube at the ready as well!

Ah, it would appear that Google's changed the way photos are shared (I used to use Picasa Web Albums) so that one has to be signed into Google (in the background) to view. Confirmed by switching to Edge which doesn't have my logins. What a pain.

imgur or flickr?

The 'sensible' option is the 630i as it's by all accounts more reliable, and as you say, lighter. I was considering an E63, but was put off by the various V8 issues. I know the 645Ci was worse for these problems by some way, so the 650i is definitely the way to go if you're going to go V8.

Picked up a trade in today through a friend - an E93 M3. Never really considered one of these before, having owned an E92 335i in the past I was always led to believe the hard top folding roof was so heavy and killed the handling.... however it's still excellent fun and handles fine for road use as far as I'm concerned.

Best feaeture is the V8 noise while roof is down, most entertaining :D

Bought this last week :)

Heh its great living in New Zealand, my 2009 550i (4.8l V8 yumminess) only costs $95NZD in road tax for the year and my fully comprehensive sum insured insurance costs $12NZD too for unlimited miles!

I remember my 2007 Audi A4 2.0T Special Edition costing me £2000 a year for insurance alone!
