BMW and M Power Owners

I don't know the details, but the 330e is a PHEV whilst I believe the 535i AH is more like a Prius, e.g. petrol engine with electrical assist (and pure electric at low speeds).

Need some advice; someone reversed into my M3 a couple of days ago and the car now needs a new off side front wing. They admitted liability as they left their number with a neighbour and have already contacted their insurance. I'll be contacting mine tomorrow to inform them. Just before this happened, my car was due to go to the Sytner BMW body shop to remove some rust on the rear arch. I spoke to Sytner today and said I want to postpone this until I get the insurance go ahead for the repairs and they have asked me if I want to use their accident management company SytnerDrive (they said it is a "complimentary" service). I just want the car repaired properly with as little inconvenience as possible. Should I use this service?
EDIT - if I do use this service do I even need to inform my insurance company? I wasn't going to to begin with as I thought they'd driven off so I was going to shell out for the repairs.

Need some advice. Tempted to get a eisenmann exhaust system. Cat back and would cost around £700ish. I think my exhaust system has a leak somewhere as everytime I go up hill I can hear a metallic sound like metal rustling in the wind. Last time I had it checked the garage couldn't find anything. Would you guys think the cats are on the way out? No eggy smell or anything from the car.

Reason I want eisenmann is for the noise. I need rasp back in my life.

You can use it if the third party insurer isn't being helpful, but you always need to inform your insurer sadly.

Can't comment on the cats but I'd highly recommend Eisenmann. I had an Eisenamnn backbox on my 3.0 Z3 Coupe and it sounded amazing.

My nephew just had his cat back system fitted today. It's early stages as the sound characteristics will develop over the first few hundred miles or more but it sounds much better than stock. Lovely and burbly on idle, nice roar on throttle and great on overrun with a bit of spluttering and pops.

I went through the 3rd party insurer. Getting it repaired by bmw and getting a 3 series from enterprise. Fine with me and I don't have to use the accident management company.

Ok so first tank done, 249 miles, 20.73 MPG. :p

80% short trips (school run, 1 mile commute, quick trips round the block giving people a ride). One longer journey that got around 38mpg.

Any suggestions? He's only 25 and his first car so nothing too powerful. He wants something like a audi, bmw or Mercedes-Benz up to about 8k with less than 90k on the clock.

A golf of some sort, probably the 1.4 tsi, or an A3

There's nothing either particularly good nor exciting or reliable about the low end petrol or diesel engines from BMW or Mercedes which he will be into at the money (though in fairness the 200/220 diesel C class is ok I guess).

Vag have their own well publicised issues, but will probably offer the best balance for the money with a German feel to the car / badge regardless of fuel

Just tell him to get whatever A4, 3 Series or C Class that he can find within budget that isn't a complete nail then, as it sounds like he's only interested in getting a badge.
