BMW and M Power Owners

Sometimes 20.5 is the best solution for a happy medium, though.

See, I'm an 18.5 guy. 18 just isn't quite comfortable and 19 is like a sauna!

Took the car out for a nice long drive tonight. Think my last batch of fuel (from a bit of a ropey place) was a bit...duff. Burned it low, brimmed the tank with my usual from sainsbury's and it started to sound and feel much better. It's now back to how it was pre EGR replacement. Think it might have also chucked in a DPF regen.

That's 20.5 with the centre vents dial set to cold of course. Superb equalisation that way, and not toasty :)

Ah, you're a fan of a toasty bottom ey?

Good chap!

It was at 18-19c all summer, depending how bight the sun was when driving but today in my 3 hours cloudy day drive i had it at 19c no heated seat and after an hour i felt a bit nippy (11c outside) so bumped it up to 20c and then turned on the heated seats.

Felt very comfy after that, almost too comfy.

Whats the feeling on the 140i?

I was bored this morning and spec'd up a 140i 5 door on the "build your own" BMW. Managed to get it to £40K with options :)

It offers the choice of requesting an offer or doing it all online. If I walked into my local BMW dealer with a spec list, would there be any price differences?

It would be purchased on PCP (deposit, 48 months and an end cost to buy outright) would that make any difference to price movement?

I initially spec'd a 340i touring but managed to sail passed £50K without trying :D

Go onto babybmw.net. There is a guy there who does deals on new ones and works for a main dealer. You'll get it for much less.

Borrowing 40 grand for a 1 Series is insane.

His name is Tony, username TRL. Almost did me a deal on a new one once, top guy.

I guess I should put up a post about my new addition really. Not collected it yet so the pics are the dealer pics:

As you can see, it is a 2014 535d M Sport. 18k miles on the clock.

Spec is pretty reasonable, M Sport Plus pack (Harmon Kardon, Wheels, SPG etc), Pro Nav (RTTI etc), Full Black Panel. I believe it is identical in every way to [TW]Fox's car, apart from his is a pathetic 530d :p :D

So that's a 35i and a 35d in the stable. Not sure how long I'll hold onto the Z4 now... I wonder if selling it in the spring will get me more money than I'll lose in depreciation over the winter.

Nice, the 535d looks pretty potent. What made you go for that (you had a 520d before if my memory serves me correctly?) after not having the Z4 for that long? :)

Ferrying people and stuff around with the Z4 as your only car is tedious. That's 99.9% of the reason why really!

When I bought my M135i with options the list price came to just over £38k. I did it all through the dealer and ended up at a final price of £32k or thereabouts. This was through PCP so I got the deposit contribution etc. (which, incidentally, all of these broker deals include, and you won't get it if you don't take the finance).
