I'm really not sure what I think about this. The day the F10 was released I knew I wanted one but Im not feeling this currently :(

I agree, the interior is not exactly ground breaking.

A few tweaks here and there and that's it for the interior.

They could have done a bit more work on the inside in my opinion.

Agreed - I actually think a facelift E65 is a good looking car.

The interior is still a bit whacky even on the facelift models on the E65. The F01 was a game changing model in my opinion. Talking of F01 (and to a slightly lesser extent the early F10) - the pre LCI models are actually looking dated now, though, in my opinion. The yellow angel eyes and bumpers etc, they certainly dont look like a new car any more.

The new G platform cars just build on the F cars, the G11 and G30 both look great but just feel like heavy facelifts in my opinion.

The 7-Series has been great since the 2008 F01. Even the facelift E65 was perfectly fine. I think the only ball they dropped with the 7 was the original E65 in 2002.

The e65 was a fine car, undoubtedly, the styling though both inside and out was way OTT.

Marmite looks to many, some like it but many loathe it, a late e38 still looks a far more classy car than an early e65 - e38 sales increased once the e65 was announced! - I agree though, the F01 onwards 7's have restored the image to where it should be.

(Has Chris Bangle been locked in a room these days then?) :p

I quite like it! Minus that weird ass vent thing behind the front wheels and the camera between the front grills that just looks like it has a spot.

Technology side of it looks good, I wonder what the standard UK spec will be the American cars are getting LED headlights, adaptive cruise and pro nav as standard.

Also noticed they have removed the central vent controls.

I just hate how manufacturers cars these days all look the bloody same. They're either scaled up or scaled down. Copy and paste in all it's glory.

The 5 Series has offered active roll control without air suspension since 2004 so this should be no surprise.

The tourings will have rear air suspension.

Really? Guess hydraulic system, this looks like electrical anyway. suprised to see that back then, impressive!

What like the e30/e34/e32 lineup for example?

Or the e46/e39/e38 lineup?

Or maybe the focus mk1/Mondeo mk3

Etc etc etc

Yea it was much better back in the day. Like when the 1996 Audi A3, A4, A6 and A8 were almost indistinguishable from the front.

Overall, I think this G30 looks amazing. The interior is also class, even though it has a stuck-on screen. SO much more want than an F10, sorry Fox.
Love it :D

Biggest thing for me with the new 5 series is that BMW appear to have ditched the hot/cold rotary control for the centre-front vents :(
I'm sure it's adjustable through iDrive.

I wasn't specifically pointing towards the Audi brand, but that hasn't changed much has it?

As usual you have to take something out of context to sound smart.
