BMW and M Power Owners

Lovely, that. My choice wouldn't be white but on the whole, lovely. Nice touch with the video. Seeing good things from BMW these days, shame I've had shoddy experiences with their sales teams in the past.

I'd have preferred metallic black or their grey colour, with piano black rather than the wood trim, but I choose to have the nice tech kit instead.

Just got sent my personal video of my new toy https://video.citnow.com/vtyHrmy0fg2 (filmed on a potato)

Now the long wait till Saturday :(

640d MSport
Options list:

Electric glass sunroof
Park assist
Comfort Access
Harman Kardon surround loudspeaker system
Soft close doors
Sun protection glass
Surround view
Multi-functional instrument panel
Head up display
Speed limit display
Reversing assist camera
20" M Double-spoke style 373M alloy wheels.

Lovely motor chap  and as already mentioned it's a very nice touch them sending you that video. Redline did the same for me and definitely helped seal the deal, 5 minutes work for what might have actually been easily edited and sent to multiple people (never even crossed my mind!).

Nice 640d, our Ops director is just toying with selling his,

2013 640d Space Gray / Ivory Nappa
20" 373M Alloys
Sunroof
Comfort Seats
Lumbar
Sun Protection Glass
Speed Limit Display

Then facelift M-Sport angular exhaust finishers/diffuser and black M-Sport grilles to give it that more finished look, he keeps it absolutely spotless which is always nice to see.

Its only done 25K miles and hes thinking around £28K which for what it is seems a lot of car for the money (Original price alledgedly according to the BMW info sheet was £72K), so getting a 2014 for £29K with similar spec is very good VFM IMO.

Am I the only one who doesnt like the 6 series. :)

Looks decent inside but cant get on with the looks. :p

No, you are certainly not. I don't see the fascination with them myself. They are fugly looking things.

I'm sure the interior is lovely, and by many accounts, a step up from the 5 series, but that exterior. Every time I see one, a little sick pops in my mouth. Well, apart from the E24, which is lovely.

I have expressed my dislike of them on here before, and got flamed for it. But everytime I see one, I do try to like it, but then, no, sick...

So I've found a 328i that I like the spec of but it's at BMW Glasgow and I'm in London

Dealer has said I can leave a £500 deposit to secure the car, come up to see it and then collect it if I like it else get my deposit back and leave without it if for whatever reason I don't like it.

What are peoples thoughts? I don't mind driving say a 100 odd miles but being so far away is putting me off. I'd like to part-ex my car so would need to drive it up but with the distance it make the negotiations of the price and part-ex difficult.

I (or my toddler!) have somehow busted the lock on my glove box (E93) and now the handle doesn't 'bite', any ideas how to get in there? My service book is in there :(

My process would be to get your car valued to as fine a point as you possibly can, and get all other negotiations out of the way before stepping out of your front door.

The driving element wouldn't put me off if it's the right car. Is it particularly special, spec wise?

Is it this one?

I just did something similar but from I'm from Manchester with the car I wanted in Brighton (272 miles each way). I made it clear before in black and white the exact condition of my car and took photos at request and got them to confirm in writing the part-ex value will be that no matter what.

I have bought numerous AUC BMW’s now at significant distance including from both Douglas Park and Chandlers and I have yet to have a problem.

My last F10 came from Douglas Park – it was described as ‘immaculate, with a few stonechips’ and what I found when I got there was a car that was as good as a 6 month old one despite being 4 years old complete with 4 brand new (As in fitted by them the week before!) alloys they’d not even mentioned. Crikey!

Only ever done a PX at distance once but that went well. I told them my car was immaculate, they seemed to believe that it genuinely was and made a a very good offer that reflected its condition and the fact it was 'ready to retail'. I was stunned they took my word for it as I'd imagine everyone claims they are trading in a minter. Got there and they were pleased to see my car was exactly as good as described. Not sure what would have happened were it not!

I have, however, seen no end of grotty and tatty looking cars on AUC dealers forecourts which I’m sure would also have been described to me as being in great condition, so much of it is luck of the draw I guess. I went to see a 530d at one dealer in Carbon Black and it looked like it had spent its entire life in a brillo pad factory and had numerous excessive scrapes and marks on it. I’m stunned they were bothering to retail it – it was a shed.

‘Well it is 3 years old, so it wont be like a new one’
‘Well my PX is 6 years old and if you can find a single imperfection anywhere I’ll be amazed’

Luckily I’d just called in on the off-chance as I was in the area.

That 328i looks exceptionally well priced and has everything you need in an F30 and is missing none of the essentials. I cannot imagine it will hang about long.
