Not something I would choose to do.
Me neither, had no choice though as someone just randomly posted them in the other forum I venture.

Anyone seen the images of the bodies? Quite grim.

None of this changes what I've stated. Yes, NATO is far more powerful than Russia but let me ask you this: what happens when you're a neighbour with Russia and you're not part of NATO? Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova is what happens.
As history has shown, authoritarian regimes are capable of anything and they tend to eat naive, peace-loving democracies for breakfast, unless they have powerful friends. NATO needs to stay strong, the world is not a safe place, the freedoms the people in the West Civilisation have gained after centuries of conflict can be lost in the blink of an eye.
Three siblings from Perth were on the plane, Australian media report. Mo, Evie and Otis Maslin, aged 12, 10 and 8, were seen off by their parents in Amsterdam before boarding the flight with their grandfather Nick Norris, Melbourne's Herald Sun reports.
We'll they can fly low...
But no I don't see why a local radar system being operated by some rebels is going to distinguish between a military transport plane and an airliner. That's the main thing - they're operating this thing in relative isolation, no command and control... no liaising with air traffic control etc...

Wow, that's embarrassing.

Lol because that was confirmed too?
The yanks have pretty much said they are 100% convinced it was bought down by a Surface To Air Missile.
"The shooting down of the Malaysian airliner may be a war crime under the Geneva Convention," Dr James Summers, Director of the Centre for International Law and Human Rights at Lancaster University, tells the BBC.
"Malaysia could be entitled to bring the state responsible for the shooting down of the airliner, or providing the missiles to do so, before the International Court of Justice," he said.
No, I was just musing.
So far, watching the news programs there have been no confirmation of it being shot down. A lot of speculation. Heard on BBC radio2 it could have been a Chinese made missile. BBC web page saying Russian military claim a Ukrainian missile battery lit up just before the plane disaster.
Washington saying Russia shot it down and berating European countries for not putting more sanctions on Russia. Ukrainian guy saying it was a 'war on Europe, a war on the world'.
Really, so far apart from the vast amounts of propaganda/spin there has been no proof of anything. I also think it is disrespectful to the relatives of the people on board the plane when the American and Russian Govts. try to point score.
I think that was established yesterday, but they're unsure of its Origin.

I'd want to know this if I were flying tomorrow to be honest![]()
